Thanks to RATPAC for hosting this subject and making it available on YT. I was not able to attend the live session. Thanks again to all who make this possible.

For nearly 30 years, my local club has had a couple of repeaters at a tower site that used to host the local university's NPR radio station transmitter. The university still has around 70 years left on their 100 year lease on the site, but now only uses it for remotes and feeds to their new tower site. Thing is, the ham that installed and attends our repeaters there was the Engineer for that radio station for those 30 years - that site was his site. Now he's retired and a new, non-ham is the station's Engineer.
Our guy now works part time for the radio station and is on good terms with the new Engineer, but he seems a little worried that our repeater plug could be pulled any time. And he seems a little afraid for the university to be officially informed about our presence. I was recently elected President of our club (and learned that it's about a 10 year minimum sentence ;) and figure I may inherit this repeater placement problem.
BTW, it's a really nice location, with our 2m antenna at about 240' on the tower and fiber internet at the shack.
