Thank you so much for this excellent detailed travel video. I've been researching for a future trip and this by far is the best and most informative videos. Well done! 😊👍💜🇨🇦
My last visit to Nova Scotia was approximately 53 years ago. Now at 77 years of age I wish to return to the beauty of all especially Cape Breton Island. I will drive up and truly enjoy the sites once again.
I wish you return to this awesome place so much must have changed since you visited but the beauty of this place will always surprise us. I have been living in halifax for 4 years now and I don't know why but every year I like to visit cape breton there is some different kind of peace in these mountains planning to visit in winters this year :D
Terrific video, we are visiting for ten days ourselves in mid september from the UK, we have friends living on the north shore and itend to see as much as we can!
@@wanderpow In addition to TRUBAR's new market penetration, Simply Better Brands is expanding its retail customer-facing and marketing team to support the expansion.
We did a similar trip ten years ago but took 21 days touring Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. I used to live in Pictou 1967 to 71 so our trip brought back so many childhood memories for me. Your video covered some of the places we stopped at. The Cabot Trail is breathtaking in its splendour as are so many other parts of the province. I would love to return again
I'm from the hidden gem of Isle Madame, Cape Breton now living in the central part in Nova Scotia near Truro and I thought you did a terrific job covering the areas you managed to see in our beautiful province. Your visuals and explanations were clear and well- edited. There is so much beauty to film, I understand how challenging your editing must have been. A person really must come see it for tgemselves, but you video certainly could be helpful for planning a trip from Halifax yo Cape Breton. The coastal route along the Northumberland Strait from the causeway out of Cape Breton to Truro and on to Halifax is very pastoral and picturesque as well. The pace of your presentation and balance between your narration and information shared and your videography was excellent. Hopefully you will return to our beautiful part of the world as there are so many different regions with their own unique geology, history and culture that you never got to explore. I will share this with my American friends who hope to visit our province, especially Cape Breton, in the future. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Thank you for posting this excellent video! I really appreciate seeing the locations on the map because I’ve never traveled to this part of Canada. You really showed us some beautiful places, and your comments were interesting as well.
Visiting Nova Scotia and cape Breton in a few weeks. I’ve watched a fair few videos on here but this has been by far the best! Cheers! Can’t wait for my trip
I am a "local', and It's fun to eat in the restaurant in the fortress: as you would if in the 1700's, costumes and everything. They also have a camera if you forgot yours. If it's the only thing you do, go THERE ! JMH
Wonderful trip you've taken us on. Years ago traveled to Nova Scotia; destination- Cape Breton. Stayed at the Keltic Lodge, golfed on their infamous golf course - rugged, indeed. Of course we drove the routes you show here. Nova Scotia is amazing but to say I left my heart in Cape Breton is an understatement. My goal is to go back at least one more time.
Thank you for this helpful video! My daughters and I took an amazing whirlwind trip to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI in 2019. Planning a trip back for this fall, and I'd love to do Cape Breton. This really was a help in my planning. Thank you!
Ohhhhh I am hoping to explore some of Nova Scotia this summer with my kids. Will revisit this for road trip inspiration once I get to the firm planning stage!
Thanks for the video. On Breton Island right now. Getting lots of rain and wind the past couple of days. Dampened our hiking spirits a big. Heading to Meat Cove today. We did manage to do the Skyline trail between rain showers. One day it was closed by high winds
I am hugely inspired and so appreciative of all that you've so generously shared of your grand adventure! thank you so much! You put a huge amount of time and energy into putting this together for us all! Many thanks, and Happy Trails! See you there!! Soon!!!
Really excellent video. I loved that you did not rush your trip. Beautiful scenery. We were in Sydney a few weeks ago and also ate at Governor’s Pub and loved it. We only spent a half day at the Fortress of Louisbourg, but will be back next summer for longer. Glad for your restaurant recs! We spent 5 weeks in Newfoundland and Labrador and absolutely loved it. You should visit!
I'm born & raised in Cape Breton, living most of my adult life in Halifax. Your review of NS is one of the best I've seen. You've focused on the best highlights, of course! I haven't spent enough time on the Cabot Trail to even remember the Petit Etang beach! Nor have I yet to visit Stories restaurant or the inn, although it's been on my bucket list for years. I think we tend to focus on travel goals that are global, while ignoring our local gems. Thank you for this and I am now going to make plans to enjoy my province more. 😂
Thank-you very much for the kind words! It's a beautiful place. And it's easy to miss things when it's local sometimes. But hopefully you'll find time to get to some of the gems!
@wanderpow you'll have to return when you have some time to visit the Annapolis Valley quaint towns and wineries, as well as the Digby shore to do some whale watching. I have spent lots of time in the Valley bc it's a day trip from Halifax, but not enough time throughout the western end of the province either. Basically, too many places and not enough time! LOL
We are planning several weeks, in the Fall of 2023, in NE US and Canada-likely at least a week in Nova Scotia. We will have our small camper in tow and will most likely do a great deal of hiking and biking...so a lot of things will be a bit different from this. But a lovely piece that includes options we will be interested in. Thanks.
Really enjoyed your Nova Scotia travels. We are going to Cape Breton next month & will visit some of the same places. Your photography was very beautiful. What camera and microphone set up did you use? Thank you.
I enjoy watching this video amazing view and I like also the way you talks and introduce the place being I a Pinoy but easy to understand you the pronounce not so slang but clear so thank you I excite to watch next your video thank u again...more power..👍💝😁

Thank you.
There is a story about the Cabot trail: a trail John Cabot (Jean Caboto) blazed in the 1700's. An Italian, he blazed a trail for France, when there was a 'discussion' about ownership: Britain vs France. Along with British, Italian and French is spoken. Try the PIZZA !! JMH

Hi. Just found your channel. I’m researching Nova Scotia. How pet-friendly are the towns? We’ll be traveling early to mid September. Thanks for a great video
Have a great trip! Most areas seemed very pet friendly. I don't think you'll have too much trouble. You may just want to make sure about your accommodations.
How did you get permission from Parks Canada to fly your drone in Cape Breton Highlands National Park? I am heading there in a few short weeks, in July
I had a contact with the province who put me in touch with them for the paperwork as a journalist. You can submit requests though to an email address on their website.

We had hoped to find time on this trip but it didn't work out. Hopefully next time!

Fortress of Louisbourg is a must see if ya like rugged stuff. Like time travelling.
It's remarkable. And such a beautiful spot.
At Peggy's Cove we rented a 40 foot sailboat at $40/hour with a skipper, but that was in 1991! whatever the price is now it is worth it.
