Many people asked in their comments whether I can verify and test the advertised moon zoom with the Huawei P30 Pro.
Here you go, I did it: pls have a look yourself and see "live" via screen recorder on my P30 how the moon is set in scene.
P40 will be equivalent to the Hubble telescope.

It works much better and more clear in Pro Mode, and then use the spot mode for the focus....works perfectly and you can see the whole structure of the moon 😍
Lol it's fake.. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Huawei or anything, but it's obviously fake.. They just use AI to print an image on the moon shape.. The moon produces a lot of light and the camera definitely can't produce any details through this light.. You obviously need a really professional camera and lens to produce such real shot
@@martinfawzi292 Not at all actually. Sure it is bright but if you get the shutter speed and/or aperture down enough thr exposure will be just fine and if this phone has such a tele lens with stabilization built in there is no problem at all

The Moon Mode is not fake. I tried 50x zoom into a bulb and the AI detected it as a moon, and the bulb is not "replaced with moon picture". You can take a pic of a half moon and the P30 Pro will show you the real half moon and the picture is not "replaced with picture of half moon"
@Edward Park no idiot its not, there is 0 relieable evidence just a fucking post in a website that proved NOTHING, and there are many videos testing it with moon pictures ,edited ones, and the Moon mode adds nothing.
The moon mode is note a fake. Few Years ago I hade a bridge camera with 50x zoom too and the picture are similar to the P30 pro. This is real

For those who think that huawei just puts a moon photo on the real moon: I zoomed in the night sky with 50x to a star. The phone thought it is the moon and the moon mode activated. But there was not a moon photo on the star. Also the photos looks almost the same with or without the moon mode

Of course Huawei enhances the moon image. They likely use machine learning zoom, which does nothing else than adding something that hasn't been captured. Probably several smartphone manufacturers use machine learning zoom. Machine learning isn't an algorithm where you know exactly what happens. It's trained on a dataset. Why shouldn't this dataset contain images of the moon? Huawei doesn't necessarily know what the AI is doing. Furthermore I have compared Huawei's P40 Pro moon images with images of a large camera. Certain details are better and cleaner than what you get with a Canon M50 + Sigma 105mm lens, that's unrealistic because each lunar crater consists of 4 times as many sensor pixels. Furthermore some Huawei moon photos look unrealistic. Some look two-dimensional and remind me of a jellyfish. Huawei never denied that they use machine learning in order to enhance moon details and never denied that the AI was trained on moon photos, they only denied that they replace the moon with actual moon photos.

That's actually awesome, I remember taking a picture of a moon with an iphone 5 through a semi-professional telescope and it looks almost the same as in the P30's photo!
It's a 10x zoom, everything from 10 to 50 is just digital.

Great video. I found last night also that after taking a night shot around midnight and then using the photo mode the camera "fills" out the colour the same as the night shot! It worked just as well as the longer exposure photo, assuming it is using the AI to fill the colours of the image. Rather impressed, except I tried to take a darker image and it kept giving me almost daylight pictures!! haha

Every phone with more than 12 Mega Pixel camera can capture that pic with ×50 zoom. Because this ×50 zoom is not hardware dependent its digital zoom.
Just U have to do is to download an app for this ×50, ×70 or ×100 zoom from Play Store and your phone can also do that.
Your phone must have a 12 or more MP camera with OIS.

Its called increasing shutter speed as blacks get deeper/noise decrease = iso decrease/at 40x you can see the clouds in the dark ass sky because its trying to light up the sky thus blowing out the moon. As you go 50x, moon take more of the space, phone recognizes it as the main thing and adjusts the stuff accordinggly(iso, shuttr speed, color balance etc.) Use your mind in a while yea?
