- I was badgered, and I am thankful for it. Mostly.

Note: I got these for $19 a pair, which I'm fine with. Their "normal" price is ridiculous, because they cost as much (or more) than JConcepts or Louise.

Pins with ribbed sidewalls would be unstoppable.
This was pure genius. Thanks to MiataCommuter for suggesting this and you for doing it. Now I want to build a moonbuggy just to run a set of these Neklaf Giger McRibs. Ain't shuttin' this Pandora's Box again.
Welcome back everybody! And it’s an instant thumbs up as always as Susan spins her groovy self into legend status!
Aw yes!
I think if you trimmed off the shoulder lugs they might flatten out some and be even better. 😁
Next the Hustlers!
This was amazing. Don't stop here. Please try different inserts. Feel like a dual stage inner would give the required bagging for forward drive. I also support the thought of sanding the inside lugs to soften the carcass. If I have to send you another pair for the sole purpose of sanding the lugs off, I will gladly do it. Please, make our dreams come true with the biggest upset in Tire Test Protocol history.
P.S. I love you.
I remember way back when racing 2.2 proline bowties til bald, then gluing them back on inside out and racing in the ribs. They were pretty good that way too!
I think cutting the (now inside) lugs creatively might help with overall forward drive. Awesome test, for sure.
Pin tire. Wait for it... With rib sideway.... Legendary
This video will lead to some tire engineers running to the hill screaming "HOW?" at the top of their lungs.
Love me some dumb quick view especially when a tire turned inside out performs better than the way it was intended to be driven lol. Great video Mr C 👍
Agree:
Cut off the middle lugs of right side out to get the better forward drive on inside out 😉
Definitely try trimming the now inner lugs!
Maybe the perfect use for very worn tires
😂I absolutely enjoyed that. The mind is boggled 🥴 I bet there's other tires out there that will do the do.
Have to admit it looks fascinating
Now we need to see Scorpios inside out.
The tread pattern reminds me of a duratrax approach at the sides and a trencher on the middle bit. No matter what it worked great haha thanks for the dumb it was entertaining.
you could turn tires inside out to test what a compound can do. and if it doesn't have belting and ribbing you can get rid of how the tread effects drive and see solely what the compound does
Astonished, Surprised, "DUMBFOUNDED". Great fun. Great video.
I was waiting for the Midwest goodbye and then it was over. I literally wound the video back to see if I'd missed it 😂 BRB I'm just gonna turn some tyres inside out 🎉
Listening while I mow
This is just a start. Everything inside out, tires, wires, pliers
They are INNER Dimensional 😊
What a great idea ❤
That’s crazy and I really like it
Nitto's have similar internals to the Wildpeak - I may have to try this🤔👍🏼
The infamous Neklaf Kaepdliw
I'm so stoked to see this. 🤣
Yep, I got the size info
Is that design the new "pin" cheatcode? Imagine a tire with a similar design, and a good compound...
On the QuickView they got 22nd place at 94.4 points. Now on the DumbView they get a 94.4 score too. That was a big surprise. They are also tied up with Proline BFG KM3s
This is a great idea!
Ribbed tires...for your pleasure....of finding the ultimate climber profile🤣🤣🤣
I've always wanted to try inside out tire to see what happends😂
This was amazing.
A sort of an Tame Valley, if you will.
Them vs trail grapplers....really need to see the trail grappler beat something
WOW!
So, the straight line that goes around the center of the tire could be cut out??? That is why there is minimal forward drive. Dremel out the center line and leave the rest of the ribs. It would be as good as the pin-seekers.....maybe better?
you could sand the real tread off and to make it softer to conform better
Agreed.
This is cool looking to my eyes. I immediately think of vw sand rail ribbed hardpack road to dune sand ribbing used in the rears like riding in glamis sand dunes. To bad you couldn’t test these with “dune sand” and some kv speed or on the back of a traxxas bandit, se b4, or some kind of 1/10 buggy this is cool. Maybe the rears need to be correctly mounted right side out and the fronts left for the extra 5% turn cut idk. Or opposite of what I said
maybe a rig with more weight to bag and let the tread lay flat, closer to a 4.65 in tire height axle to ground. too far down on forward drive, not specific the size of the contact patch but this tires contact patch is tiny x with not enough void, so thinking the thread laying more flat will allow the ribs to become more in the contact patch. fun test
Have you tried Pro-Line bow tie 8 scale buggy tires super soft I run that on my axial XR10
So these tires are basically a 2 for 1 deal!? Thanks axial 👍
Should try removing the inside lugs so the tire shape is more normal
We've fell in to a burning ring of fire down down down the flames went higher and it burns burns burns the ring of fire the ring of fire
Falken inside out kleafn? Kenlaf? Flaken? Klafen?
I’m thinking Lafnek. What was inside is now outside..
At what point do you break down and test every ribbed tire inside out?
Well, there's ribbing, and then there's what's going on inside this guy. Those are just inside tread. The worst of it is that pretty much anything from Vanquish would be genuinely better with some ribs and belts, while this tire would be MUCH better with no ribs or belts. Who exactly is making these decisions?
I was first! Yeah! Just thought it was funny I caught the video 15 secs after it's release. 😅😅
Hmm now if you shaved off the lugs and inverted the tire would you end up with a conventional profile
They were on sale, which is great-- but I just paid $40 for those tires and can't bring myself to cut them to ribbons just yet.

I ❤ the "Dumb" episodes but honestly.... how often has the "dumb" actually been dumb? It seems more often than not the dumb ends up destroying expectations..... perhaps it deserves a better name?! 🤓
NGL I'd like to see a proper tire take cues from the inverted "design"
