Here's me thinking I'm singing nasally cause I sound so congested when I sing. Did your trick and kept singing normal. Think I'm constantly congested so I sound nasally, even when I'm not 😭😂
@@DamnFineCupOfCoffee depends on what style you're singing. Nasality is more common in pop or country, but mostly undesirable in classical or jazz. It also is a matter of preference, although it seems more people prefer to listen to a non-nasal sound as it is more full and less strident.
Nope practice it at home with your tongue out. Feel how the relaxation of the tongue feels. Pop your tongue back in and try and maintain that feeling :)
nasality is actually a good thing you do need nasal airflow... you can sing that way this is just another option but you should be careful when NOT singing nasal and trying to carry that into head voice. We need the nose & the face to resonate.
I need to learn it! My voice sounds too much nosed 😢
Same😭
I can't sing to save my life but Beth's coaching is always entertaining to watch
Excellent demonstration, Beth!
some nasality can be good though. it's brilliant for twang and adding extra power!
It can be depending on your body. But twang and nasality are different things
@@BethRoars good to know. would you mind explaining the difference? i don't want to get the two confused.
🎉 miracles it works like wonders

The second I detected nasal singing I run away I RUN AWAY from nasal singing it's abomination must end
...oh and " county mayo "God bless"
I just got nose surgery on the 5th so I can breathe with my nose and smell. Also to help with singing
I think I have twang because I'm from the south😢 I sound like Miley Cyrus when I sing 😅
Informative...and funny...but it works.
nasality doesn't have to be a bad thing though...
For sure! But these are tips for if you don't like it in your voice and want to change it :)
@@BethRoars but which one do ppl tend to like more?

So I'm NOT a nasualy singer..... I've been lied to
People often confused nasality and twang, perhaps it is twang that people are hearing? Or people are just being mean!
