Absolutely exquisite. I spent a weekend on a course back in January trying to play a Castello sonata with my group... not this one, but it really gives me a feel for some of the stuff we were missing that the tutors just couldn't quite convey (although they did help us a lot!).

Is the archlutist muting the bass strings with his left hand at 1:15 or what's happening there? He's not playing harmonics or sth is he?
Muting and plucking the next one from both ends.
Can I ask you guys for recommendations on chin rests and like where you buy the cloth thingies that go over your chin rests? They must make you sound this good. Definitely not the baroque instruments. Haha

Some progressions are backward. Unfortunately. We must be grateful for the gems that have survived and perhaps devote more of our time and efforts into reviving the thousands of unknown works instead of treading the well worn and narrow paths which don’t lead anywhere.
