Good honest conversation we should all have.
I agree with that 👍🏼
Interesting? We drink coffee in the morning - maybe 2 cups and that is it. For us it is soothing and gets our thoughts going for the day. And we have coffee making setups for our overlanding rig. More than one! As for alcohol - yes we do drink in what I would say is very controlled and social. If it is hot a cold beer in the afternoon is nice. A beer! We do not care to drink any soda as the sugar or synthetic sweetener is not great for your body. My wife has a glass of wine when making dinner. Me, not so much. I prefer to sip on cold Jagermeister or Bumba Rum while sitting by the campfire. They are smooth drinks and do not require any soda for mix. As for drinking around kids. I think if you and your husband are moderate and very controlled drinkers the kids will follow suit. Either way they will likely try it, over do it on occasion and will have to learn for themselves. Safe travels and hope to see you when you are in Canada.likley
Must also add if you enjoy the taste of the drinks it's also what makes it a pleasure to have when outdoors. As for kids, as you say, they'll certainly have their own experiences when they decide to do so.
I am a coffee addict too and thats why i have a coffee machine in my defender 😅
haha love that! :)
Hi Emeline
Emeline 🎉 yes correct ;) haha felt wrong reading ‘sipping wine with boo’ 😄 hate more the hangover than the addiction so we might be healed from it 🤪
I stopped drinking years ago mostly because I get drunk and thinking I can do some of dukes of hazzards stunts. Not a good outcome in the morning. But I do live on coffee, all the way up to bedtime. I do understand what you are saying though. It’s a good idea I think.
Haha i can imagine that ;) and good to be conscious it’s not a good idea anymore!
Gave up drinking Alchol 5 years ago and dont miss it, One proper coffee in the morning with breakfast and several cups of tea through the day. Only other things i drink are water and an occasional glass of milk. Feel the benefits in my health, no more hangovers and not to mention the financial benefits 😂 More money to spend on the Landy.
💪🏼 awesome! I do trust you regarding the financial benefits 😆 and getting the work done because no more hangovers is a much better personal feeling.
Hi. I fine when I travel Ig I drink less alcohol .in fact . I when for a 2 week adventure . Had 36 can of beer and came back with 24 cans .
I see that in a very positive way :)
I get terrible headaches if I don’t drink at least one strong black coffee in the morning. I’m also a terrible coffee snob, so have to grind/brew my own each time at the exactly right temp. Insufferable.
Addiction of the process of making your own coffee ;)
Interesting topic. Obviously, if you have to take care of children you can’t drink much. And any time you feel down / need to drive hungover your certainly drank way too much.
I’m young enough that I can have a few beers without adverse affects in the morning, I only drink more in a social setting, and when I don’t have to drive the next day.
When traveling you need to be careful to not get into the habit of drinking every day, that also takes the enjoyment away from a good wine imo.
I do make coffee, but only if I’ve got time to spare, so most days I skip it. I think everyone needs a hobby while on the road, photography, fire cooking, but that hobby can also be making coffee. Depending on your hobby you may or may not have time to drink coffee daily.
Happy you liked it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and way of doing 👍🏼
Saludos cordiales.

I'm trying to figure out your accent. I know you live in Switzerland and speak French, but your accent speaking English is quite unique. Have you lived in England...because, as well as speaking English perfectly, you do have a tiny bit of a British accent...within your mix.
🤔 mmmh not that perfect as so many mistakes while speaking 🙊😅 no never lived in the UK but… in any case love it a lot!
I hate Coffee, so I never drink it...but during holidays/travelling I love to enjoy a cold beer or share a bottle of wine in the evenings. Thats also part of holidays for me/us. Normally during working weeks, we don't really drink
We do know this is holiday treat for many. We personally rarely did that during overlanding family trips and now feel it’s even less compatible with our projects.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 YOU PARTY ANIMAL 🦔
COFFFE IN A MORNING OR TIRED 😴 IF NOT WATER OR POP IM USUALLY WORKING/DRIVING SO CANT RISK DRINK DRIVING 😢
GREAT VIDEO AGAIN
BESAFE 😜🇬🇧
😂 and for sure best not to drink and drive ;)
I seldom have hangovers and could go for 100km bike rides after drinking, and I mean a bottle of wine. It's a curse!
It’s a good way to sweat it out ;)
Hmmm. Everything in moderation I guess. Am Australian based. On long trips I don’t carry alcohol (may be a bottle of Scotch) but this is more re weight and space concerns rather than potential effects the following day. If you are close to a town maybe stop at a pub for a cold one and a meal.
We live in the country but I will drive the 40kms to town for a morning coffee a couple of days a week but when traveling remotely we just make a cup of coffee from a jar, no special percolators or anything complicated.
It does take up some space in the fridge! I also do think it’s best to go out in a local pub or café to have a drink (any kind), not especially for the best coffee or best brew but more to meet locals and get the feeling of how a place/region is.
@@offtrackfamily support local, that’s how a lot of these smaller towns survive
IMO coffee is not as bad as buzz for you. When we travel, lets say to holidays with kids we do not carry alcohol. But if the trips is only for the "boys", we enjoy drinking our local Chilean wines and perhaps a bit of scotch during a BBQ. But as times passes we are getting more moderate due to aging. One thing is we always camp far away to be on our own as I do not like neighbors! For the ski season however, we perhaps get a bit of wine. Beer is a banned as I stopped liking them 😡. And no weed by no means.
True I didn’t talk about smoking as this is clearly not in our habits. I like the idea you can go out with the car where there’s nobody 🙂. What happened with the beers?
@@offtrackfamily I just can´t stand tolerate the beer as good as I can with wine and scotch. 😋
@@offtrackfamily "...where there’s nobody 🙂..." Getting very difficult though.
