  • Ethiopia is a small country with huge potential. It is the only African nation to avoid the European colonization, has a huge population, and has the best geography in Africa. Ethiopia could very well become the African power of the future. So will it?

As an Ethiopian I like how some people actually care and make videos on us and not stereotypically calling us hungry poor people, i see this is at the time being your most popular video, i am proud of my country and happy many people are interested in the history of Ethiopia, also Italy only occupied us during those 5 years otherwise we were raging guerilla warfare the whole time so they did not exactly control us, lol sometimes we Ethiopians say we waited until they built us railways and building and then kicked them out, in other words they only occupied us and they probably did not have full control over Addis Ababa and even if they did we probably were fighting in the mountains, that is why our geography is great like you said, nice video

Hello, I’m an Egyptian Student in Cairo University. I see that many people think we Egypt want Ethiopia’s downfall and that we hate fellow Africans. This is not the case. We just want to ensure that we have drinking water as we already have water shortages in the country, and we wish you all the best. @@elnatabekele1020 even just limiting the flow of water is a disaster waiting to happen. The citizens of Egypt need nearly every liter of water that comes from the Nile either for drinking water or agriculture. If the Ethiopian government holds too much water back while they fill the reservoir, not enough water will make it to Egypt to sustain the population. This would result in a horrible famine and likely death sentence for millions on Egypt. The dam would be blown up long before that would happen though, but then there’s likely to be a war. The only way that Ethiopia can keep its dam, without the Egyptian government blowing it up to save the lives of its citizens, is to fill up the reservoir really slowly over the course of decades. The Ethiopian government doesn’t want to wait so long for a return on their investment, and that’s where the conflict arises from.
Once the reservoir behind the dam is filled there will be no issues regarding the need to hold back water. Once the reservoir is filled, it becomes much easier to manage the water output from the dam to acceptable levels for the Egyptian government. That is, unless it’s discovered that they need to hold back a substantial portion of the Blue Nile just to prevent the reservoir from evaporating away, and decrease in volume, but there are other solutions for that.

what makes Ethiopia unique is that it has special place in both the bible and Islam. in the bible it has been mentioned 44 times. In Islam, prophet Mohammed warned his followers no to declare jehad in Ethiopia. The Christian state of Ethiopia has sheltered the followers of prophet Mohammed when the Muslims were persecuted by the mecca ruling classes. prophet Mohammed has told his followers to go to Abyssinia where everyone has lived in peace and harmony regardless of their religious difference. following his order, the first Muslim pilgrims arrived Aksum in 615 ad which is regarded by Muslim scholars as the first hijra. their enemies came too Aksum and offered to Chirstian king enormous amount of gold if he hands over the followers of Mohammed, but the king rejected his demand.

A very long time ago I spent five weeks as a backpacker travelling across Ethiopia, up from the Kenyan border and then crossed the border into Eritrea (this was before the border war). I never realized how central the geography of the country was to its history until this video! It is an amazing country, and has so many unique features: a unique calendar, a unique way to tell time (to Ethiopians noon is 6 o'clock) and totally unique food. I would love to think it might be an economic powerhouse some day. And with the new port opening in Somaliland, its economic opportunities are growing!

Abiy Ahmed will unite All of Africa. He is so popular with the Black Americans, Caribbeans, Arabs and Muslims. He will bring power back to the East. To have all those Muslim countries on your side, and all the Black people around the World supporting Abiy Ahmed. The Americans are starting a war that will collapse them. China and Russia are already against America but when Ethiopia is touched. America will be outnumbered. The U.S is collapsing there is no debate there, the question is *when* will America lose power and collapse? You don't have to be in the army to see what's going to happen next. Americans have split themselves thin trying to police the World.

The first migration took place in the fifth year of the Proclamation - in A.D. 615.
The king of Abyssinia welcomed the Muslim refugees from Makkah into his kingdom. He gave them sanctuary, and they enjoyed peace, security and freedom of worship under his aegis. About a year later, the Muslims in Abyssinia heard rumors that the Quraysh in Makkah had accepted Islam.
If it was true then there was no reason for them to live in exile. They were homesick, and they decided to return to Makkah. But when they arrived in Makkah, they found out that not only the rumors they had heard were false, but also that the Quraysh had stepped up the persecution of the Muslims.

Let me tell you about the Year of the Elephant. Abraha al-Ashram an Ethiopian guy. Learn your deen guys. So you can argue from the deen side as well. This guy is so strong that the Arab pagans couldn't do anything that God himself had to interfere and save the Kabah.
The above-mentioned episode happened in his youth. Now we come to the most important event of his life which took place just eight years before his death. By then, he was the patriarch of the tribe.
The Ethiopian governor of Yemen, Abraha al-Ashram, envied the reverence in which the Ka'bah was held by the Arabs. Being a staunch Christian, he built a big cathedral in Sanaa (the capital of Yemen) and ordered the Arabs to go there for pilgrimage instead. The order was ignored. Not only that; someone entered the cathedral and made it unclean. The wrath of Abraha knew no bounds. In his fury, he decided to avenge it by demolishing and desecrating the Ka'bah itself. He advanced with a large army towards Mecca. There were many elephants in his army; he himself rode a huge elephant. It was an animal which the Arabs had not seen before...read the link.

You find Judaism, Christianity and Islam in Ethiopia. I bet you don't even know that muslim people have to believe in Allah's books:
      1) The Torah given to Moses (Musa).
      2) The Zabur given to Dawud (David) Some scholars equate the Zabur with the biblical book of Psalms.
      3) The injeel which is the
Gospel/Evangel Bible given to Isa (Jesus).
      4) The Qur'an given to Muhammad peace be upon him. Muslims are not allowed to deny 1 of these books, it's like denying your religion.

@@eliasziad7864 Abraha and King Najashi carry such a strong recognition in the Eastern world. Ethiopians stayed untouched for a long time because they have held their beliefs from day one. And Ethiopians believe Jesus will come back and unite the Muslims and Christians and other Faith's that accept his return. And a true Ethiopian knows he needs his brothers from the other Faith's to wield a special sword that comes to earth. And as long as Ethiopians keep their culture uninterrupted, they will be the ones to lead humanity against the Anti-Christ also known as Dajjal to the Muslim people. So while I respect your beliefs the end times are near. And the signs are already showing up. Ethiopia being invaded, Saudi Arabia becoming more like America and the 3rd sign is America collapsing. So the Ethiopians need to prepare and give their children heads up.
