Where were the birds, and the laughter, and the green? The Federation had stolen far more than their prosperity. Over the years, it had taken their souls. The machine turned the corner to make it's final pass for the night. Hazel pulled a device from beneath the crocheted blanket on her lap and flipped a switch. Her window shattered with a deafening blast. Hot metal and debris rained down as dust and smoke filled the street. Picking herself up from the floor with ringing in her ears, she shakily wiped a tear. Her grandchildren would know joy. The uprising had begun.

Galavanting as they will, for a waving juvenile finger of a simple circuit cannot labyrinth the human mind, Understanding and compassion not within their limbs, only commands and instructions, In a sense pity and torture, only strife is what they know, To feel a tender loving touch a warm embrace amidst oppression, Groundedness, knowing pain and suffering welcomes in forgiveness, healing and expanding in spiritual growth.

All of our infastructure is gone. We still don't know where they came from. but they have watching us for centuries.

I’m very inspired by the works of Simon Stalenhag :) If you’re interested in learning how to make this kind of art from scratch then that’s even better! Then you would have to research what kind of software to use for digital sci fi art. I hope that helps point you in the right direction!
