I tend to seriously annoy my fellow shooters when I shoot my 6.5PRC. It has a pretty aggressive brake on it that tames the recoil, at the expense of the ears around me. As a general rule, as you double the distance between the source and the microphone, there's a 6db drop in dbSPL measured at the mic. So, if your mic distorts and clips at 4ft from the brake and it's 140db, it'll be 134db at 8ft away, 128db at 16ft and so on. I say this just to give you a baseline in case you want to ever do this test again without having to buy more stuff, like a db meter. Just double the distance and fire without the brake until you capture a good, not distorted recording. That'll be your spot going forward with other testing. (Sidenote, most cameras fiddle with onboard mic sensitivity as you zoom in and out too, just keep that in mind.)
I wish that I had the extra $1200 including stamp to get a sweet suppressor like that. But neither of my current rifles are threaded, so I would have to find a rifle in a cartridge to supplement my 270 and 300 WSM. Preferably with a 20 or no more than 22 in barrel since the suppressor already adds a bit of extra length.
Got me a Banish gold 30 on the way as we speak. As my first ever suppressor. All I hear and see is good things so I’m really excited. Gonna mainly be running it on my 7.5” 300 blk with 220g subs

Sorry i missed the last 2 lives , I was out getting some limits of ducks before the end of the season , that prc is pretty impressive my buddy brags it up too he got one in June and he says every deer he shot this year only went 3 feet(straight down) lol . ✌️

I bought one of these banish 30 golds 2 months ago cool vid I'm excited.... love the vids man!! And I love 6.5 I have 6.5 grendel 6.5 creedmoor and 6.5 x 55 swede I really want the 6.5 prc also
@Definit1on I pulled the trigger on one at the end of August. Was originally told 90 days, then 180 days. I just saw something about 8 months a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to hear something by the end of the month, but it will probably be March or April. Fingers crossed 🤞
@Anthony Yes I put in mine in July 7 2022. I was told initially 180 days from the rep. But most of local gun dealers have been saying 8 months turn around. Still shorter then the year it used to take. Good luck. 👍

I just picked a Mossberg patriot 6.5 prc and shooting the Norma hunting rounds out of it and I have to say I'm very impressed for it to be a entry level rifle. I will be trying to find some of the precision hunter to try in it. Love your videos keep them coming.

Silencer Central can thread your barrels for you as well.

We have found putting the microphone down range at 100 yards. You will hear a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
