Wow! This is the best treble choir I've come across! The girls' voices blend so beautifully. The notes are sung on pitch and the round vowels give it that gorgeous, rich tone. Excellent!
I trained as a teacher in Christchurch, studied singing with Mr Arthur Bell & taught Music most of my professional life & was so very pleased to hear your wonderful performance.
i am not familiar with this stunning choir or the song ,,sublime joy ....the girls all have long hair ? may be its a condition you require to be able to join the choir ? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i take my hat off to bob chilcott ,yet again he as struck gold ,however do you have to have long hair to become a member of this beautiful choir .....is it some kind of condition ? rather strange xx
The girls seem interchangeable. All beautiful, all around the same age, mostly blonde or fair hair. Visually it is lovely but in this day and age, I find this homogeneous choreography a bit disconcerting. They do sing wonderfully, of course.
This is a very hairist comment! It's the choir of a girls' school in New Zealand so what do you expect? And besides, some of the girls have black hair. Any way, never mind the hair the performance is quite lovely!

Straight hair must be a requirement. Maybe the adjudicators can tell us.
