    This is not only one of the best table saw reviews I've seen. This is one of the best reviews I've seen on anything. Concise. Clear. Informative. Tells me exactly what I need to know. Well done.

  • @rosatipianoservices-alltun180

    I've used the Bosch since 2006. In fact I've used the Makita, Dewalt, Hitachi, General, Rigid, etc. I've used ALL of them on job sites. I'm a pro cabinet maker and finish carpenter. I can say without a doubt, the Bosch gives the closest user experience to a cabinet saw that you are going to get in a job-site saw. From a pro perspective, hands down, it has THE BEST fence on the market. Why? Because it is the most similar to what your user experience with a cabinet saw will be. I hate the Dewalt rack and pinion system. Some times you need to remove the fence and use the nice large Bosch table top for other things, or to free-hand a cut. Easy! With the Bosch just simply pop the fence off. The Blade height for a job-site saw is second to none. The weight issue is negligible, it's actually a pretty light saw. The soft start and responsiveness of the motor gives you yet again a much closer experience to a cabinet saw. The Dewalt feels likes like you're using a circular saw bolted to the bottom of a table, as that's essentially what the Dewalt is.

    • @VincheroKarpintero
      @VincheroKarpintero  Před rokem +2

      Just a few points,
      1. You are NEVER suppose to freehand a cut on a table saw.,
      2. The fence of the Dewalt can also be "popped" off.,
      3. While I don't think anyone can deny your preference for Bosch, not sure I'm buying the cabinet saw experience sales pitch...

    You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice czcams.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

    Thank you for this comparison! The soft start, better miter gauge, and back/outfeed support on the Bosch are definitely big points in its favor. Thankfully, it's pretty easy to install a soft start on the Dewalt, but it requires you to buy a third-party soft start module and wire it in.

    Here in Australia the DewaltDWE492 price in store is $1338.00 Aud,,,approx 35,200Peso @38P to the Aus $Dollar. ,,,,
    Bosch 10XC is $1309.00Aud,,,approx 34450Peso @38P ,, so I'm kinda leaning towards the Bosch model , Salamat 🙏

    I really wish the Dewalt had those additional features. I fitted a soft start myself. At some point I'll probably add some extensions to make the table effectively bigger. What I would not want to give up is that rack and pinion fence. It really makes my life much easier.
    Here the Bosch sells for about the same price as the Dewalt.

    I was about to pull the trigger on the Dewalt dahil yung rack and pinion ng fence ang pina ka gusto ko. But the 50Hz frequency yung deal breaker for me. For some this might be ok but as marine electrician by profession, a motor that runs higher rpm than what is was designed for is a no-no for me lalo na for longevity of the TS. Now I'm checking out the specs for the Skil TS.

    One of the best reviews I've seen between these two beauties. I think, in this case, Dewalt takes the cake. 10XC has a lot of features, that is true. But with a price difference of php15k, that would be better spent on other powertools. I love and hate the sliding platform on the 10XC. I appreciate it's there, but it also takes the fun out of building your own personalized table saw sled. Just my 2 cents...

    • @jlewis3013
      @jlewis3013 Před 2 lety +1

      Agree - over here the De Walt is silly money and the 10XC is a very solid competitor given the UK price. The Bosch' Achilles heel is the fence, but it's not that bad and there are numerous 'fixes' on CZcams for it, that make it more reliable. One thing I would do if you get the Bosch is to change out the blade and get a better one to suit your needs; the Bosch blade is ok, but you'll get a much better finish by swapping it out IMO. As pointed out in the video though - it's a handful to carry on your own - but on the GTA 60W (foldable stand) it's a breeze to move around and store.

    In reality Dewalt is not concerned with providing a TOP bench saw: -Changed the internal dust insulation, yet the machine still releases a lot of dust. - It is a noisy machine. - The consumer does not have the option to buy this machine at 127 volts. - No disk brake - loose goniometer. - It doesn't have the option of flange size, plastering the consumer to buy other size cut-off wheels (shaft hole flanges for other sizes of cut-off wheels should come as an accessory). - The cutting ruler is misadjusted. - The angle adjustment handle is too hard, as well as unreliable. - It does not fit 254 mm disc, only 250 mm. When you turn the motor on and off, it strangely "sparks". DISAPPOINTMENT! The industries, both Bosch, Makita, Dewalt etc are the same disrespect with the consumer. Adilson you are right! Enough of watching videos of CZcamsrs putting their hands on the heads of saw manufacturers just to beg and beg for a shut up and for the sake of the trash!!!!!!! People who sell themselves to the manufacturers of saws and tools in exchange for "jabá". The reality is only one, for the tool manufacturers, we are considered third-rate consumers, not to mention the lack of safety and quality! We cannot and must not accept these equipments and tools without quality, safety and respect to others, it is the lack of maturity prevailing over reasonability, common sense, ethics, safety and respect! We cannot accept that they treat us as third-rate consumers, disowning us and making us consume products without quality. We don't have to accept what the manufacturers want to sell us and push down our throats, precarious, limited machines, which fall short of our needs. Today, the market has a need for portable saws with better quality, as well as features and safety. This "talk" and justification of the industries that these machines are for construction sites only serves to discourage them from launching better saws. Year after year, the so-called "new" machines have no effective advances and improvements. It's the same old thing, the industry's accommodation. What really changes is only the price, always more expensive, without significant improvements for the consumer!
