Completely underrated. I am 100% baffled how could anyone, especially, if you are from Chicago could say this is a bad or in accurate portrayal of Crabrini Green.
Is this serious? No movie has a better accuracy of the projects. What an imperfect protagonist? Actually amazing kid actors. These are the reals you see in real life. Big Poppa? The Ship? Jefferson Albert Tibbs from Hillside? Ask anyone city kid/ any kid/adult/white privilege whoever from the Chicagoland area. If you don’t like this movie. You are not a Chicagoan.
