06-07 were the best years for Super Sport manufactures had a down! And what’s even crazier is their looks are timeless!
The designs of those late 00s bikes were just special and timeless as you said; these newer bikes look cool but I think they’re over-designed
07 r6, 07 600rr, 05 1000rr, k4 gsxrs, 06 ninjas. Best looking super sports ever.
I’ve been saying this; the designs were classic and that was the point where the tech was most advanced while emissions regulations were at their loosest (relatively)
I own 1 an I love it
just picked one of these up and I love it. decent torque down low and really opens up up top. timeless design and no electronics getting in your way. prime honda
I got a bike from 2006 with 8k miles im surprised you can still find bikes that old with that low of miles. Sick bike man 🤙
Idk how I've rode 1300 miles and I've had my bike a month and a week and 2 weeks of that was out of town I'm on a 2005 gsxr 600 has a little over 33000 miles
Definitely I’ve been looking into getting a 600 like an R6 or ZX-6R and while I was online I seen a bunch of mid 2000 Liter bikes for sale with low miles going for less than the 600’s Ive been searching for. So they’re tempting as a upgrade from a SV650.
Very nice. Also Nothing wrong with high mileage bikes either as long as they have been maintained.
@@SectorS7VEN Not sure of the other models, but a Honda will last.. I bought an 06 CBR 1k brand new at 24yr old, now 43yrs old, I rode it hard for about 5-6yrs then got a Harley and quit riding it very often as I had a bunch of friends badly injured and quit riding.. Its still in the garage, It has 24k miles and has never had one single mechanical issue ever.. I ride it maybe 50-100mi a year for the last 8-10yrs.. Thats why you find em, guys buy em, ride them for 3-5yrs, then get another bike and its sits and we stare at them.. It was under $11k brand new, so there isn't much reason to sell, just enjoy it a couple times a year.. Like this guy said, you get older, and enjoy comfort, wind protection and just enjoy the ride instead of racing public roads..
06-07 Fireblade are FANTASTIC
Love your stuff, great quality and super entertaining, keep moving!
I have that exact same bike and absolutely love it. It had a old power commander on it when I bought it and it did not want to start. One of the things I did before putting on miles was rip out the power commander and have the bike fully dyno tuned. Starts right up and runs butter smooth. Just took it to Daytona for a week recently and had so much fun on it. Absolutely buy it and take out the power commander and dyno it and you will not regret it. Absolutely amazing bike.
Amazing.
Same here I own a 07 fire blade she need some work but I can’t wait to get her back to 100% I almost sold it because it was running glad I didn’t this video really make me want to do a full rebuild on it ❤ my first bike I learned on hard to let go lol 😅
@@R3XX_Gaming64 yeah man, keep it and get it to good running shape. Then you can have tons of trouble free miles
I also have the same bike mine seems to run a lot better with the dyno tune on the power commander and ignition module...
@@trinidyjohnson9295 I gotta take mine to shop real soon
I bought one at the end of 2006 and I have to admit, it was a fantastic bike! And hell, you can pull out the cassette transmission in about 30 min. I roasted 2nd gear doing power wheelies and I think it only cost me about $100 in parts and 2 hours of work. It's not as fast as the current gen bikes but, in all honesty, it was a really fun bike to own. And it's still plenty fast....
I got the 2005 CBR600rr and looking for that extra bit of power since I'm always full tit on the 600 on backroads. These gen fireblades look so sexy and it will go so well with my 600. Plus I prefer analog over computer asist anyday and the lack in power over the new 1000's probably won't bother me since I'm coming from a 600.
@@user-yw8ek4dj5v There is no shortage of power. The 05 blade pulls like a mf in the midrange.
Man I have an 05 600RR and it gets people DROOLING over it every time I go out. The design of these bikes is timeless. They will forever be good looking. Beautiful bikes!
By far one of the best looking bikes, I had a silver 2005 1000rr
when i first got a litre bike you truly have a feeling of speed and how crazy you hit 130. anything over that feels so visceral and a feeling thats hard to explain once you do
You get used to it kinda. I rode with a 150 club to get in you had to keep up. 180 became my new zone where you felt each mph individually afterwards. Just a surreal feeling like you say. At 200 you are saying your prayers in those moments. Maybe forget to breathe a lil 😂
Yeah we have the autobahn close so there its so fun. Just maxing out for miles @@texasbasshunter8234
Fun video, and right on with the amazement. I bought an ‘07 Repsol earlier this year, with very low km. I bought it sight unseen and, after making the purchase, I had some second thoughts… not about buying it before I saw it, but because I wondered if I am crazy getting this bike. Note; I have been riding motorcycles all of my life, of all types and sizes, bigger than liter bikes too. But I am 68. So I thought “ok, am I just nuts, at this point in my life, even though I am in good shape and strong, reallly? Am I just nuts?” But… the first minute I rode it I knew it was the best purchase I have ever made. What an amazing motorcycle. Just wow. Love every minute on it. Thanks for the video. Yes, hard to describe how fun this bike is, how light and agile, how comfortable, how fast, how fabulous.
I'm nearly 80 and bought a Suzuki SV1000s yesterday and rode it 600kms home. In Australia, the temperature was 38degrees C. Believe me that's hot. I didn't die. That's about it.
I just go a 2010 Fireblade and it is bonkers. Full Jardine GP-1rr and dyno tuned. Went from a K8 750 that was done by Chris Moore. Love the Blade but gotta get used to it Lol. Stay safe out there!
I own the 2005 Repsol Ed I’ve had it from new. I’m involved in racing so I didn’t fit any ridiculous exhaust on my bike but we did De-cat the headers . And put race gearing on it, some HRC throttle bodiesi think they must have been supplied from Honda for the super stock class
a matching set the carbon race velocity stacks race air box intake. we also did all the mods that where upgrades on the RR7’s.
upgraded the Calipers from a new 2015 we where stripping down to race. Over the years we have upgraded so many things that you’d never notice. Set it up on the dyno by race technicians it’s a lot faster than most. Tends to lift its front wheel a bit easy and accelerates violently out of bends.
I had a ride on a friend’s standard bike, it felt really lazy flat and unresponsive probably down to his noisy pipe lazy gearing.
I agree about how light they feel and flickable. So friendly to ride fast. Mine has become part of the family after 18 years and before someone say you should try a new sp or a gen 3 bmw. I have own them. They get sold the Repsol stays. Partly because of its superb build quality and it doesn’t try to kill me.
If i had extra money laying around I’d buy one. These are heritage bikes from a golden era
I have a 07 white an black for sale now
Ive been looking for one of those. Classic bike and best year imo
I just bought a 2009 CBR1000RR last spring and damn I love that bike! I know what you mean by tippyness, those Hondas just suck themselves into corners, they feel so nimble.
the best era and back when streetbikes sport bikes didn't cost a fortune, less than $11000 new . 2003 to 2008. These days prices have doubled.
I would enjoy seeing you "highway racers" do some twisting roads or the race tracks, like these bike where designed for. I would bet that over 75% would crash out
I have an 07 in the repsol fairings, amazing bike, its unreal that for 5k you can buy something that destroys most cars on the road.
Near 7k here... Trying to find one with repsol fairings (+ Orange wheels...) but theres 0 atm available. Theres like 7 or 8 04/05 Repsols... im giving up in couple weeks if nobody lists one 06/07... Season has pretty much started but i allrdy sold my f4i for this bike i cant find in the color i want...
Well also tempted to buy black/red/grey and get the wheels & fairings after summer...
@@qNepo yeah not many people want to sell them, if you cant find one, you have the option of aftermarket fairings, then just find the wheels seperately or have them powder coated orange.
I have a original 07 cbr1000rr repsol for sale only 23km on it but I'm in canada😅
5k miles in 17 years 🤯
Found a 09 GSX-R 750 will 3.3k miles a few months ago jumped on it quick
Shows owner got the bike for the wrong reason.
I got 06 with 3k miles on it. Best bike!
Picked up an 02 R6 a lil over a year ago with 3900 miles. She’s got 17000 now 😅
@@dustinhayes3682 That's some riding you have done here 😃
This bike still looks amazing for the year good buy
its a Honda motorcycle, they all feel good.
Before you put any more miles on it bleed them breaks. Clear not tea or piss color. Love the content bro got a sub here. And to ride one is how you explain Hondas fit feel and control. I had an 02 rvt rc51 and now a 19 rr they freaking nailed those bikes.
Yeah the brakes have been blead before I even took it on the highway and it had a new set of tires put on it before winter but just sat since then. The clutch flushed out fine as well but it only took 3 days to turn poop brown again due to the internals where the piston cup for the clutch master is internally corroded and is tinting the fluid. It needs to be rebuilt or replaced and just waiting for permission to do so.
@@s13whitesilvia I bet man. They sitting is just as bad on dot4.
@@Turtle-RR Lol no joke btw That rc51 is a dream of mine
@@s13whitesilvia should have kept it
That feel was one of a kind. Not crazy hp like 130 I learned alot on that machine. And that's when I became a honda fanboy
My 06’ is flashed and tuned and absolutely rips.
What sliders are rhose?
I have ridden superbikes since they became a thing. From 600 ninjas too GSXR1100, My last bike a GSXR1000/2007 was a Rocket ship, 180+mph stock. The surprising thing was how many members of well-known Biker clubs, wanted to look at it and sit on it. The common thread was. " I wanted that bike ever since I was a kid." I'm 65 and now own a Ninja 1000sx, although powerful and more comfortable than true race replicas, I've been looking at a 2009 CBR1000R Repsol.
I almost had one yesterday. It sold before I could get there after me and the seller made a time and date. 😅
I love how this thing idle
I love my 2007 CBR1000RR ... lowered with a power commander3....ove it's D&D exhaust.
Have it to as first bike still have it.. love it
I bought an 06 cbr1k as my first ever street bike.. For most it would have been a death sentence, but I grew up racing dirt bikes since the age of 7 & being 6'2" tall, I really didn't want a 600cc bike.. Def lucky to have survived it in my 20's.. I still have it today, all stock xcept full yoshi system, k&n, & old PC5.. For the last 10yrs or so, I have put about 50mi on it a year. Never selling it, as they have never gotten any better, in my opinion, only gotten worse with all the "modes" and nannies ect.. Like you neighbor, I'm 43 and enjoy my comfy Street Glide much more.. I only ride it for 20 or so mins a year for shits a giggles.. or a quick trip to town and back..
i have the same bike same colours too..its not the fastest but dude its the most good looking cbr in my opinion!!
I only need one weapon in my life, and its a Honda
How about the gas consumption of this bike?
Also there’s a reason why rossi did so well on that bike
Was lucky enough to ride that beast ❤ my buddy was a pride owner and always asking to lend her. The only bike i saw 290kmph at speedo (although wasn't real speed)...
Do you have a PC or Bazzaz unit to correct the AFR on it? If not, do it and then you'll see what the beast can do. It was a completely different rowdy raped ape...just a beast...BEAST! I love my older sportbikes...all the hand holding rider aids is just killing the true joy of riding these days. I love my 06, Candy Blue & Yellow. I heard they only made 500 of them in honor of Rossi. Either way, once you had a full Arrow Race Exhaust and correct the AFR, it goes...plenty quick/fast enough. I enjoy the quick blast out of corners more than straight line speeds these days. It's just Honda perfection. Man, I want to get out on it now. LOL
Firee how much was it
buy it!
I've got the 07 with the same fairings, serious nuclear warhead on wheels, I take my 06 1000rr track bike to Phillip island, my 08 cbr600rr is also insane
Dude vfr’s are pretty fun to ride and rc-51 if you get a chance .
I feel it 😅
I had the blue and yellow color scheme....I miss mine..
it's shaking bcuz the suspension is out of wack it hasn't been tuned to rider. Wheel bearings can also cause the shakes. It'll feel bumpy in the bars but you shouldn't be death gripping em either. Some guys like to remove the weights out the bars and that ruins the balance.
How tall are you?
I have same bike since 2018 and I love that thing even same color
SC57❤
Dumb? My 2006 was one of the best CBR's I've owned. Had a Jardine RT-1 Race exhaust, power commander, and air filters. That was it. Ran great, but had heat stator issues about 8k miles. The bike moved good, wasn't super fast, but fun. Its light, and user friendly. I hope dumb meant fuckin awesome. LoL.
Lol it sure did. Absolutely loved it
Not super fast?
@@user-tm9ho3bm4vwith mine stock, I was outrunning Hayabusa's in straight lines . For sure a really fast bike
I have an 06 I bought brand new.. It dyno'd at 171hp with full yosh system, K&N, ported velocity stacks.. I wouldn't call it not fast.. These no nannies bikes are as fast as the rider is skilled.. You can't just matt the throttle out of a corner or your done for..
I’m about to buy a cbr1000rr 2004 with 18k miles on it for 6000$ should I buy or pass? Currently ride a ninja 650
It is worth it
Buy it!!!🏁🏁🏁
Have an 04 took the power commander out and it ran better at all Rpm's.
I do have 5 other bikes but I know for sure I'll keep this old girl until I'm dead or she is.
Bro i was going to buy one but i just found how it doesn't has abs, what SHOULD i do??
Wtf learn how to ride without it 😂 you don’t need abs!
I have the exact same bike with 37k on it it’s still a monster
Names of the songs pls
I know everybody likes to go on about Suzuki k5, but in 2006 Honda in super bike won 5 races and finished 2nd in the championship. Most riders will never get the full ability out of these 1000 cc monsters.
guarantee that clutch is BURNT
I'm thinking about buying one soon. But the 07 because the swingarm is black.
Ay man they sell thermal base layers... it'll keep you warm. lol and yeah you better respect a 1KRR, it'll kill you if you don't and if you truly know the experience you'll never really hit your throttle, it's a tiny PINCH and you're in the 100+ within 2nd gear.. .
Lol we got the same bike and same gloves
I have the blue/yellow 2006 cbr1000rr. I have had other 1000's and this is by far the best bike with the most "f"u power and handling. (YOU CAN'T RIDE MAD). You could/will hurt yourself and the one you love (the bike). I changed the sprockets in the front and rear so 100 mph is 2-1/2 seconds away. Top speed is ONLY 130. Oh well. You have to be able to do 50 chin ups to be strong enough to hold on or you will be "in the air" like willey coyote when the rocket takes off. I'm way too old to be on a crotch rocket but i can give it up. It's better than a hot girlfriend.
It puts a smile on my face "every day", even when its raining.
Just found an 07 with 8k miles, you think 6500 is worth it??
Yeah because I found one with 27.8k miles for $5900 lol, you’re getting a brand new bike essentially
But where did Joey go?
Buy it
Nimble and fast, but first gear klonks like damm, seat too hard, fairingquality sucks when doing service, it might drink motoroil like...to much, otherwise easy riding
I have this bike with 20,000mi its going to be hard to trade up… lol
I’m looking all over for the perfect one. I’ve been looking at nothing but 1000rrs the past 2 months
SC57 е перфектен мотор.Honda имат най-добрите 1000 кубикови мотори в света
Haha you are not even in the powerband. Its nice right
you have music
You want to get your adrenaline going jump on a 1000 liter bike
