    1. Realize that you always have a choice. That means that you have control. Just because you feel and think something doesn’t mean that you have to go down that road. It’s always up to you what you will allow in your life.
    2. Respond rather than react by observing feelings of anger with distance and calm. In doing so, you can start to master those feelings and shift to a better emotional state.
    3. Consider that sometimes things aren’t exactly the way we think them to be. Keep an open mind and do your best to see another person’s perspective.
    4. Practice mindfulness techniques such as meditating. Research on mindfulness techniques have shown that as we begin to step out of our thoughts and become more aware of our senses, it deactivates the limbic system and activates the prefrontal cortex, which involves compassion and empathy and can help you calm down.
    5. Be sure to get therapy so that you resolve the real underlying issues behind your anger. In doing so, you can clear that anger energy overall.
    6. A little technique that you can use is: Visualize your anger as a balloon. See yourself let it go. And imagine that it’s moving further and further away from you till you can’t see it any more. This simple but very useful technique works so use it whenever you need to.
    Remember, the goal is to let go of anger. Don’t hold on to it.
    7. When you feel anger energy rising, replace it with exercise and deep breathing, go for a walk, or go to yoga. My releasing that energy, it will help you to purge that useless energy.
