- In this video I install Speed Engineering 1 7/8 long tube headers. The exhaust setup is currently The headers and 2.5 straight pipe to the factory mufflers.

I got the same headers , X pipe and the 3” pipes all the way back. Welded all the fittings, have not regretted this a all. Sounds great. What a money saver
Sound good with long tube headers, nice video
Great value for the money. I had some slight touching on my motor mount on the left side but just trimmed the web on the mount and it good. Still very pleased 3000 miles later. Yes, collector clamps suuuuuck. Fleetpride sells good preformed wide stepped clamps. I used GM gaskets and have no leaks.
FasNuf Garage the collector clamps are the worst lol. But I’m pleased with mine too not 1 problem since I changed the collector clamps. I bought the summit racing clamps but if these ever give me problems I will try the fleet pride clamps.
I just installed mine last month and my box looked the same way but the headers are great! A fraction of the price of name brands and still perform just as well

Got the BBK ceramic coated for $550 which is close to what you spent after wrapping, clamps and gaskets
My box was torn too when it showed up. WTF?! 🤣 Now I'm waiting on the X-pipe kit.

Any check engine light after? Can I put these on without a tune?
The car will run fine with these on and no tune but there will be a check engine light due to the primary cats being deleted.
What header bolts did you end up using since you said don’t use the kit bolts??
I reused the stock ones which wasn’t smart at all. They now offer arp header bolts so just choose those.
And one more thing did you get the off road connection pipes witch ones did you get and why you buy the 3in an 2.5in clamps, are both necessary?

140k is nothing for a 6.2 go for it

Just To prevent them from heating up other components

No I didn’t but it still ran fine

@@South214Side In the high rpm range.
The headers should breathe better giving you a increase in low speed torque starting as soon as 2500rpm but it may need a computer tune for you to notice it of course the engine breathing better will also run better at higher rpm to but there should be a substantial increase in torque even at 2500-3000rpm with longtubes

Do what I did, if you know anyone that lives out side of California have them shipped there and then go pick them up I got lucky and ordered them to Las Vegas and the guy comes out here frequently so he brought them out here for me lol
