I appreciate your effort helping us out to understand ways of wheel alignment, as you have said we can go for wheel shop for more accurate results
Many thanks tutobuild
Впервые вижу чтобы так делали развал-схождение. Главное чтобы этот метод работал. А вам же удачи. Привет из России.
This is interesting. As you said, this is a method that is not perfect, take it to a professional if needed. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate the effort. Well done!. You don;t need a computer voice by the way. Yours is fine!
@5 Star GM who made fun of anyone snowflake?!
बहोत ही खूब अच्छा लगा धन्यवाद जी 👍🙏🇮🇳🌷🇮🇳
Want to be one perfectly straight board that aren't available in Australia. Would need an aluminium straight edge here.
Ingenious! Thank you!
I always did this when I was younger, didn't always work (tyres scuffed at one side), but good tyres were only 5 or 6 bucks back then, petrol was 4 gallons for a pound sterling. Mostly this worked good for me, but jacking and lowering the car are a definite no-no.
thenk you
COOL MAN THANKS ✌
I have a board that is painted white. Will it still work?
yes, because all boards are perfectly straight. Anyway, this method is okay for TOE alignment but what about castor and camber adjustments?
Space from the rims not the tyres or better still the centre of the actual hubs. And use a straight piece of pipe or aluminium or edge of a plywood sheet as that's straight if new from factory (or should be) straight line with rear wheel and measure gap between front and rear of the front rim or hub once aligned swap sides and ensure aligned with rear and then equidistant from straight edge both at front and rear of the front hub or rim, if both sides are equidistant front and back of the front wheel rim or hub, when it's parallel at the rear rim or hub then the tracking is aligned, if not adjust accordingly.. 👍🏴
Take measurements from wheel rims, not tyres, otherwise an excellent video.
Longacre has a toe bar to set toe. Line-up the pointers with the center of the rear tires and then the front. Toe it in to specs.
amazing very smart mate smile thanks
good work ,better than use wire ,
nice one
level that board first😂😂😂
I prefer the good ol string method for diy
The only accurate rubber tyre measurement is taken at the center of it. The sides of the tyre will bulge out differently. Center of the tyre is always in contact on the road no matter what.
Next episode: how to make elbow patches for a jumper! :P
Si ma come fai a capire quanto devi girare per cambiare convergenza?
better with string or fish line
nicely done... second example below
realizing the rear wheels arent reliable... :)
recently i devised a similar home alignment process...
I am not going to video...
1. align steering wheel as rolling to parking
2. tape measure stretched out behind both front wheels
3 second tape behind both rear wheels
4 shoot "laser" from 39 dollar laser from harbor freight and align tape on driverside using an even foot number.
5 walk to pass side and shoot laser across both tapes and determine similar adjustment plus one laser width of toe in... perfect alignment.
6. test drive for satisfaction and repeat as needed.
note: a person can use the back tires as a reference to identify the fronts are aligned in a general sense... but as i experienced... there is no call to trust the rear tires as camber can affect how the rears are in comparison to the fronts...
trust the tapes laying on the ground over where the laser splashes on the numbers over using distances away from the tires.
AN EIGHT FOOT LIGHT BULB IS BETTER ITS LIGHTER ANMORE ACCURATE FOR STRAIGHT LINE
Michelin Energy Savers. Better have a good alignment... the tires cost more than the entire car.
Is it OK to eat a cheeseburger while performing this task? Would I have better results if the burger had bacon on it?
Yea
Board is worn out
OK 👍

It's good to see Woodglut have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
Really,.....
При всем уважении, много моментов, допускающих критические ошибки. 😢
Maybe this is the way it was Done during the Carriage days in the 1800 that’s Probably where he got it from You’ve been at the Local Carriage .
Пыльник тоже прокрутился.
Oooo schit
🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
Video is wonderful. Computer voice is disgusting
the board itself looks older than the car... Probably not even a straight edge... youre better off just using a piece of string.
C C
Or Fishing Line .
String works excellent
String is much more accurate
Bro this is the wrong way of allignment coz mostly cars have different front and rear track width.
Measure the center of the rear wheels and then the front. Center the steering wheel and lock it in with a steering wheel holder or a person to hold it. Set the toe so that the front wheels are the same as the rear but toed in to spec. It'll be close. But a toe bar with pointers is better. A long board with a pointer nailed to the board might do as a cheap method.
In America we have tire shops that charge about 30 bucks .
hf uyd
measure the distance of rear wheels left and right and also the front wheels left and right before do that kind of alignment because most of the cars has different rear wheels and front wheels distance.the result of that method is always result TOE OUT

I do not recommend doing this. Not with a board. No board is perfectly straight. Use a string, very
You simply.
No way it ll be accurate.im trusting tenhulzen
a board can hardly be straight.
just take to an alighner wouldn't that be easier it's only 40 dollars this is to much mucking around.
