What would you recommend for a gas V6 engine that runs in the 1-4 thousand rpm range and is a daily driver with a 5 speed manual transmission 2wheel drive?

Do i get this clear? Is a gasoline engine sturdy enough to take the higher pressures and torque when diesel fuelled?
    What do you replace?

GM and Waukesha both attempted to take gas engines and convert them to diesel with less than favorable results. Lots of naturally aspirated gas engines have successfully had turbos added and doubled their power output. It is a lot of work though and you can easily damage your engine if you don’t know what you are doing.

@@bcbloc02 thnks. I was a marine engineer, now on pension. I am unfamilliar with american motorblocks. Europian/asian blocks definately cant. You can run an gas engine on lpg but it takes a more sturdy block( thats why mostly diesel) to run on cng. But seeing v8 s tuned up to 400/600? ( Without changing cranckshafts, rods, pistons and heads) the engines are more sturdy.
Ps. If said started as an gas..
It looks to me the engine was converted.
But does it mean that the engine is swapped?

I think I would have gone with a 66inducer to have the power kick in at a lower rpm. I don’t see a 7.3 having the fuel to need the extra air the 69 can feed.
