Please make a full review for this phone's camera performance in all situations.
Glad to hear it's coming to Malaysia soon! Been looking forward to this phone for its display, which is likely the best in terms of eye care at the moment 🤭 Thanks for the review!
Wow! Didn’t know there are fans of matte screens! Stay tuned to it on October 10th!
Dear KL Gadget guy.
Which are the concept stores or showroom where one can take a look and get a feel of this phone?
Hey how did you get the stylus. Did it come included in the package. I'm looking for the case which can hold the stylus made by tcl & the stylus itself. Can you please share any links
Thx for video!
Would love to get it (for longer reading without the compromises of an eink display) but am turned off by the screen form factor.
Why those those super long screens that make it not easier to hold, that are not convenient for book/PDF format, that are not better for browsing than a 5+ inch screen.
After all, this is not a gaming phone, it's made for a better reading experience (part of which is holding the device, form, weight, screen ratio).
The 5G version has a less elongated screen but a noticeably lower resolution. I don't mind paying more but hope they will bring out a smaller screen device with high resolution.
Also relevant: apparently, it is presently hard to find a fitting case and screen protectors don't help the reading experience. Maybe something worth checking and mentioning in future reviews on this phone. That said, maybe one can always just 3D print a fitting case, not sure.
I've been wanting something like this for ages! I had hoped for a true e-ink phone, but this looks great. You probably don't have the phone anymore, but I'd love an update if you still do. Thanks for the review, I'm now convinced that I'll get it when it becomes available in Canada.
The Hisense A9 is a true e-ink
@@ethanridge8751 thanks, but that one is even harder to buy in North America. I'd have to buy it through a third-party seller and it comes stock with a Chinese version of Android. In short, it'd be a big hassle. At this point, I will wait for the TCL 50 NXTPAPER to be released here.
What about android updates?
Is the matte screen a replacable layer?
U sell this review unit ?
Thinking about to buy this cellphone can you give me some details on the phone
Besides the good screen tech, at least it has a very good quality selfie camera 👍🏻😊
can you test if this is better for reducing blue light than an iphone's "night shift" mode?
Coming from lotz of oled phones I would be curious to see the display on this phone soon.. Matt display.. Interesting..
Hahah, not as good as Nothing Phone laaaa
@@klgadgettv hahaha... It's lazy phone already la
Hey, i Just bought this, but i am looking for a cover, i can't find one all over the internet 😂
Suggest?
Is there a 5G version
I want thiiiiiiss!
But they didn't sell it in Indonesia 😫
Battery life?
Heyy, thanks from Italy! I've just bought this phone and reading the instructions, I noticed that Tempered glass protector is not allowed on this display. Can you tell me something more? I could buy it on Amazon, but I'm scaried now
I wanna ask because you said you have one of these and I am confused.... is this a phone with a E-paper display, that can play video?
does it support taking notes with pen? May i know which pen did you use in the video? Thank you!
Yes it does support the T Pen
But u must put tempered glass to protect the screen anyway right..?
Nope, it doesn’t require that
Why not? Doesn't seem to be gorilla, wouldn't it be at high risk of breaking on falls with no protector?
@@LucaDofus Don't drop your phone.
When will this unit be available?
Where can I purchase a unit including the T pen?
Thanks
It is already available right now, can purchase from TCL Store here: invl.io/clk1ji5
@@klgadgettvWill it be available in the USA?
Will the version sold in Ireland work in the US?@@klgadgettv
looks interesting
Is this real e ink that you can use with the back light completely off?
No it is not e-ink
Amazon sells it, but it says: language French. Is it only in French or also English, or Dutch?
It should be in all languages as it runs Android
Is it widely available in Lazada Malaysia?
Yes it is
Does it have wireless charging?
No it doesn't, but if you want a budget phone with wireless charging, consider the Infinix Note 30 Pro.
Does it have NFC?
Yes.
Unlike the OLED, it won't burn your eyes. The deepest layer of the screen panel can reflect environmental light, it feels like an actual paper. Good for e-book readers, but not for entertainment.😄
No doubt it won’t look as good as an OLED for entertainment, but try looking at it in low light, it’s darn impressive.
I got a TCL nxtpaper tablet for $160. The screen is amazing.
Man, what do you mean with "moderate usage"?? My TCL 40 won't last ONE DAY, and that's with energy save options set after reaching 50% of battery. It's incredibly frustrating.
Not to mention that, and it may be a problem with my country, there was no stylus included in my box.
There are several TCL 40 models, which one are you referring to
Not eink, not ePaper
Good point
First
Very lag phone 😂
