The way it accelerates, the only way I would describe it, as the car simply "time warps" me down the street 😂
What makes me the most impressed in this case is 1300 FREAKIN NM! Trucks in the 90’s had similar parameters from 12-13 litre engines.

And I believe they were factory limited in torque (standard SL65) because they would produce around 1500 Nm and destroyed gearboxes during the testing phase.
@@Porkycheunyea they didn’t have a gearbox at the time that could stand the power . I think all the amg in that time has the same issues with the gearbox

You know the craziest part about the SL AMG lineup of those years (non Black series) The SL55 vs the SL63/SL65 there wasn’t much of a difference besides in price, the supercharger vs the turbo lag on the tt v12 and the extra weight meant similar times and numbers, it was more of a status symbol 🤏🏽 I’d pick up the 5.4 ANY and EVERY day over the 63/65 just because of reliability and the sound 🥰

What a machine! I wonder what a retrofit to, say, an 8-speed ZF might do? Those massive craters between gears on the 5-speed might be life savers, but can you imagine staying in boost up into overdrive?

HREs are amazing, but those particular wheels aside from the carbon, look absolutely awful. Especially on this car. Aside from the wheels the car is a monster.

If hes not used to v12s then its a bit sketchy to do a real pull. The amount of control needed to not lose it is not like any v8. Not to mention that its not his car and very expensive

@TheWholeGrainBread_Real lol seriously? For one, those 2 engines will make different torque. Two, the added weight of a bigger engine changes the handling and response time. You can take 2 v8s and make them feel entirely different with different transmissions, tuning, steering, and a whole number of things. Horsepower is only 1 metric of an engine and will feel different in every design. What are you talking about?
