I have the hazes custom Rock Island armory. Classic Matt black with Rose gold barrel hammer trigger safety. That thing is beautiful and it shoots Like a dream. They do some amazing work.

I think that video has been around for awhile but it is pretty awesome and that Damascus gun is a a beautiful collector item - I was blown away by it. I first learned about Hayes through Kovert Ptojects but realized I had seen their brand through random 3-gun sponsorships in TX matches.
I had a feeling Hayes was big underrated, they do so many things in a subtle perfect way and it is all ideal

Recently discovered Hayes as well. No longer have the XC I had bought but definitely would have picked one of these over it. The price point along with manual lathe and hand fitting is an awesome value.
Hopefully in a few months I’ll receive my order from Accuracy X. I’d be willing to let you guys do a review on it.

I have a Hayes custom Benelli M2. It’s the best shotgun I have ever owned/shot. One of my favorite guns that I own.
I have never seen a Hase Custom gun but have heard of them . Honest Outlaw reviewed a Hase Custom Rock Island 1911, and apparently they were able to tighten it up quite a bit. I love that monolithic look. Great vid as usual guys!

Also i was looking at the Hayes Custom Cobra as an option to add to my collection and after watching your video I did contact Kovert and placed my order for the Cobra, it was your video that really gavage the confidence to pull the trigger. I bought 2 of the Hayes-modified RIAs directly from Hayes. Hayes starts with the RIA ultra pro match, an excellent gun in its own right, and why Hayes uses them to offer great 2011s that everyone can afford. I was impressed and having fun. I upped the game and purchased the Cobra. oh my gosh. the pistol is difficult to describe because it is so good. Fit and finish are spectacular but the gun is unassuming, and the recoil is recoilless. It is swift and steady. It fits the hand so nicely. When fired, it seems to float on air. I have several high-end 2011s and the Cobra and my NighHawk TRS Comp are my two favorites. In reality, if you order the custom cobra, the pricing is a bargain.

Should I continue to purchase based on these phenomenal reviews or invest in some mountain property? If only I knew someone to work that out for me...? Double stack 2011s have been my latest obsession. I Love these vids gentlemen. So real and so entertaining!

@@ChrisblauIt really does look nice but I really like my STI DVC Tactical 5.0 as well & still going strong. However when it completely messes up where I can't fix or get parts for it then I'll do some serious research in buying another 2011. Like I said before I'm done buying or trading guns for a while.

Hayes RIA guns are actually quite nice. They take cheap hit or miss guns and fix them to a relatively nice semi-custom level. At an affordable price.
I'm curious as to how the hayes compares to the watchtower apache, nighthawk custom sandhawk, Atlas & SVI infinity. 🤔
Hayes custom is great even if youre balling on a budget in 2011 realm. They do work on RIA double stack 9s if youre looking for an entry point. His videos are also very knowledgeable as he hand fits their pistols.
I've had Hayes on my radar for a while. Would eventually like one.

I have 2 Hayes custom pistols and they are incredible
A fine looking Hole Puncher. I'm liking the smooth look of the slide with what reminds me of the serrations that Les Baer does. Clean, unobtrusive and functional.
Wish Mr. Les would make a DS but not likely going to happen. The first Gen TRS I have is unreal in accuracy and smoothness. My Staccato does not hold a candle to it in any way, Fit, finish, Accuracy. It just cost more. GRRRRRR!!!!

I was able to have a Hayes custom 2011 island barrel.
It is 99% better of other 2011 out there. I feel blessed I was able to run it for a little while.
The grip looks like the cheely e2. I’m gathering parts to build a 2011 with the e2 commander grip and their commander ldc frame

After watching your Nighthawk Treasurer video a dozen plus times, I now I have a Vice President with an ACRO footprint dot. After smith, optic, and shipping, she was $6700. Absolutely pleased, but yeah, this channel is hard on the pocketbook.
14:23 well yes sir I want the girthy boi a bull barrel and the bushing less guide rod and captured recoil spring.
For one the bull barrel would add more weight thus making the muzzle rise less significant.
And secondly not only does the bushing less look better in the front but it's one or two less steps if I'm not mistaken, the muzzle end of this here Hayes looks amazing!! This is just purely speculation and theory of something I desire. 😎🤘👊

The only 2011/1911DS with both IOS and the Dawson tool-less guide rod from the factory. Badass logo doesn’t hurt either.
Every time you guys dog on the pit viper it makes me laugh.
The Pit Viper is a movie gun with a name behind it. I have no issue dropping 10 grand on a gun, but I would not buy the TT anything. It's all flash and bang. Yes, I have shot both, and a $7000 gun with a polymer grip is a crime. The overall fit and finish look as if they were done by an amateur. Blending did not exist. It just isn't a serious shooters gun.
i wanted one but once i did my homework, overpriced and way overrated. The comp is a 2 pc design. Now if they would come down to real world price. maybe.
Hayes used to modify Rock Island Tacs. Don't know if they still do .
My Snap On guy brought an Atlas to work the other day. Once you hold one, rack the slide, you start to understand why they cost what they do. I'm sure the same applies to the Hayes.

I've had a hayes for some time now. Absolutely perfect in every way. Outshoots stacattos easily. I've put one up against and atlas and they're both honestly the same. Hayes might even be better. But there, you're really splitting hairs on what's better.
I just looked up the price before the video got too far. Now I won't click off the video, just as an effort to help with the ole algorithm. But yeah I'm not watching this cause the more I know about it the more likely I'll get one. Literally 4 minutes in and I've seen enough lmao
I think Hayes is fairly well known. Are they criminally underrated, yea. But I mean Aaron Hayes was on Demo Ranch. I was looking at their rock island guns a long time ago. They take a cheap 1911 and work on it making it a pretty nice pistol for the price.
Its awesome watching these pistols being made. Makes you understand the price.

What to point out for 700 more (or 400 more in addition to the porting) you actually get two barrels. One ported one not ported. Considering they need to hand fit some of it, I think that’s a good deal.
I love mine and prefer it to the Infinities I've fired. Hayes is absolutely legit.

Incredible video as always gentleman. One point of clarification, that E2 Cheeley grip comes with a bobtail and no grip safety. Hayes probably didn’t do any blending there since it comes that way. I have a long and sordid experience dealing with a 2011 builder and the E2.

The grip is actually our own design, and accepts Cheely pattern magwells. We do hand blend the back of each gun. They are pretty good coming off the machine, but hand finish work removes tool marks and def smooths everything together.

Debating which pairs better with my Patek, either a full custom Hayes or an atlas or Cabot since infinity stopped their full custom as far as I know.

It’s not just this channel but CZcamsrs in general but ported guns like this aren’t really for competition. USPSA rules says if it has ports it’ll be an open gun. These types of pistols are not good as open guns. That being said I really want a non-ported version for limited optics

As you said, if you know, you know. Hayes is really well known in the custom realm. But their production is incredibly low. They make custom race guns, guns like this, and they even take a rock Island armory and make it into a really capable pistol. They are as good as anybody out there.

I like the new watch pairing angle. I don't like iWatches or the like, seem like gimmicks and I have way too much technology in my life already. I am really indecisive when it comes to buying high end stuff whether it be cars, watches or guns so fun to see some really cool ones with some really high end guns, neither of which my wife in on board with me buying yet. My watch EDC is the GShock MT-G series of which I have 5 different pretty cool looking and tougher than an iron skillet varieties. I've liked GShock since I was in high school, guess it's like the slightly Guccied up Glock of the watch world. Been checking out Hublot for a while, maybe before I'm dead I'll get one.

the ports put you in open in uspsa against full race guns and ported guns are not idpa legal as far as i know so for comp shooting its a bust unless you get a non-ported barrel

Yeah... Is 5 large Cabot and Atlas ballpark? Cabot uses American sourced Tool steel and that's amazing.

So, to say they come from a gun family is a bit of an understatement. I have had them do work on my double stack .45 rock island, and I could be happier with the results. They do awesome work.
