Till is one of those frontmen that can command your attention simply by standing there. On a side note, I was honored to have been in attendance at this concert. Rang in my 30th birthday at this show!

Rammstein are the best Live Performer ever.
You can see how happy they are to reconnect with their American fans. They quit the US after 9-11 because they thought the country had gone mad with hysteria. Then came back almost ten years later for ONE concert in MSG and- a German and German singing NDH band sold out MSG in 18-20 minutes. This is the concert were Iggy Pop relates how they offered him earplugs saying "You will need these", and how it was still too loud "My whole body was shaking". Stephen Tyler said he could roast marshmellows- and he was not in the front row, and Chad Smith became a hero by getting tickets to his teenage son who loves them. And where either he or the guy from Amthrax says "Rammstein is everything we Americans think of Germany- it just runs like a well-oiled machine", and it does; as you said, they are really good musicians. Even though Paul, Richard, Oliver and Kristoph never shows off in flashy solos, they NEVER make mistakes, and Flake is just... Flake.
You want to watch the documentary of their relationship with America culminating with this concert, it is also a beautiful story of how six punks from behind the Iron curtain struggled to win America, gave up, and won it anyway to come back and shine in MSG.

That happens when you have the same line up for 25 years! They've even gone to therapy together when there were problems within the band!
Originally, the 'mouth light' went through a piercing in his cheek (he is a punk by nature). It became a no-go after infection set in. I am enjoying your discovery of Rammstein, the big deal for me is that Till (the singer), is as much an actor as a singer. He always writes lyrics in the 1st person, he is playing the role of the character - the more distorted the better it seems! I dare you to go for 'Buck Dich' live in Berlin! (you won't).
I knew he had his cheek pierced to use the light for a video, I was hoping he got talked out of it for tour. In the making of for the video one of the other members (I forget which one) was talking about how painful it was and then said "you know Till has to have pain"
Actually there are songs where Till is not the main character and where he tells the story of other people. Songs like Nebel, Spieluhr and Reise Reise
Rammstein is a RHYTHM MACHINE.
Best concert I've been to by a mile. No one puts on a show like Rammstein. Never heard a crowd cheer as much, or as loud as at their show. After their encore, when they were done for the night we all cheered loud af for a good five minutes or more at an empty stage. So good.
Anything by Rammstein is worth watching. Benzin and Radio are fun.
Hearing this as the opener when I saw them was one of those experiences thats hard to fully describe that riff in person ripped my fuckin face off blew the roof off the stadium cant believe it was 10 years ago already

I always thought of Rammstein as being the perfect "rock-machine" They are so tight together ...Solid in their execution. This is the Band that makes me want to slam my head through a wall, and keep going!! It all works together quite nicely, wouldn't ya say?
Hey Guys, I'm from Germany and a big fan of this Band. I saw them live multiple times by now and they amase me every time. The best video to understand the messages of their songs is in my opinion " Man gegen Man". There is a live Video from Paris to it. The song is about the discrimination of the gay society and how they have to hide in some parts of the world. This band speaks out what some people fear to say. They earned a lot of critic for this but they just don't care. I think everybody should speak out as free as they do. I really enjoy your reactions and hope you don't mind to react to " Mann gegen Mann live from Paris". Sorry for my grammar it might not be the best. Have a great time and Rock on

Yesterday i was in a Rammstein concert in netherlands. I can Tell you its much better than the Videos. 55 thousand people rocked the stadion...insane!!!!

@@TheWolfHunterZ Well, its only the setting of the letters: "ie" is pronounced as "ee" and "ei" is pronounced "eye". But it makes quite a difference: "Lied" (as it is written in the song title) means "Song" (so its the Rammsong), but "Leid" (as you said it) means "Suffering".

There is a video of the singer with two flame throwers one malfunctioned antecedently setting fire to one of the band members who still playing rushed off stage clothing on fire where the crew used fire extinguishers to put him out. Not sure if went to hospital or came back on. After that they did it again but deliberately making it so good. If notice the bass and guitarist never move that is they are the right distance away from things when using the pyrotechnics. I think they are the only band that gives credit to their manager as part of the band. My favourite was putting the keyboard player in a huge pot and cooking him what fun they all were.
At 6:39 the voice of Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. I saw this show with my own eyes! I stood right in front of the stage. I still remember the feeling of warmth on the skin from pyrotechnics! ))

"Lied" is prounounced "LEED." "Lied" means "song." If you say "Leid" as in "I lied to you about the rent" then that means "regret" in German.
