What up Phychmasher! Yeah I like having the fight stick overlay up for that exact reason. But I'll be honest, there IS a technique to jump out of HSF but in the timestamp you posted, I was just wiggling up and down hoping that I got lucky 😂. But hey, it worked! Don't ever let anyone tell you that mashing isn't good! 😈
How is that jumping HP Cable bullet unblockable on the enemy when coming in?
@@DaeguDown When a character is in a "normal jump state" they only get 1 action. If you do a normal jump, you can attack, or block, but once that action is done you are defenseless.
In a "super jump state" you can attack or block multiple times. Test these out by normal jumping and super jumping.
a character entering the screen is considered in a "normal jump state". So if you force that character to block, then as soon as their block is done, they are defenseless. One easy way to do this is to do a jumping HP bullet, which they will block, you then do a well timed AHVB and they fall into it, unable to block. Some people try to mess with your AHVB timing by taking the jumping HP, or push blocking.
I love this series. I played MVC2 in high school with my buddy who had a dreamcast. We never studied it and became decent. We just button mashed, but we still loved it.
How would you rank this game, in terms of difficulty to become good at? Is the learning curve high compared to other fighting games?

I haven't played many other fighting games but I often hear that this is one of the hardest to learn. It's really fast and hectic and not very lenient when it comes to execution. So you'll definitely need to spend many hours in training mode to be competent. Especially since the casual bar of this game is still constantly rising!
With mvc2 finally free, i think its a great time for more content!
