As an English Carpenter I love watching how you and the Japanese Carpenters work with lots of different tools from us you guys are so lucky with the lovely soft timbers you work with like red pine and cedars I am currently living in Normandy France and most of the timbers I use here are green oak and dried oak as well as Douglas fir as you can see on some of my videos on CZcams any way buddy thank you for sharing your knowledge all the best Budo at French farmhouse diaries

Very nice build with excellent quality materials. Bees wax is a great choice to allow the natural look and feel of the grain to shine through.
I might have chosen hardwax oil for this particular application.
I love the look of besswax.

What a beautiful bed Shoyan, the choice of the Cedar was excellent. The workmanship was again so wonderful to watch, I don't think I could ever get tired of watching you work & show your brilliant skills. I thought the beeswax finish looked absolutely superb on the Cedar. I am sure the couple will be absolutely delighted with the finished product. Congratulations again my friend, Don from South Aust.

Now here is a real craftsman who knows his craft, maintains his tools and machines in excellent working order. His planer knives are obviously straight and sharp. He moves confidently and efficiently. This is why the Japanese are such excellent engineer's, designers in every field. They have the discipline and focus of the craftsman hard wired in their DNA and culture. Marvellous.
