    I think hard plastic was used to stop a common G Shock problem of display crookedness which could happen when the watch receives a hard blow.

    I think those white things are nylon bushings. They can take a lot of shocks. They are also used in hammers so obviously they are shock resistant.

      I am still hoping there will be a release of a new "authenic" GW 9400 Rangeman, not the B1000. Haiz, maybe Casio has phased them out.

Im a sucker for screw back and I wanna upgrade my DW 5035 Havong bluetooth function and all its perks. If you can give me some pointers much appreciated. Thanks

    I think you should do like once a month video on the cheap casio non g shock watches. I have 6 g shock watches and 6 non g shock casio watches. I like to mix my watch wear every week. One week g shock, one week cheap watch. Lol. I also have a 1990 dbc databank watch I'm going to get a battery for. Had it since 1990. Time to bring it back to life.

    Do you know if there will be any more 35th anniversary releases this year please? The latest jelly & gold versions don't do much for me. I'd like to see a true DW5000-C replica in 35th anniversary. Positive display, chrome or IP case and case back, chrome or IP keeper. I'm not a fan of gold or of negative displays.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  Před 4 lety

      Yes. GWB5600 parts are interchangeable between other GWB5600 series. Just take the entire movement and swap them. No need to disassemble them.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  Před 3 lety +1

      Misaligned display is an easy fix. Just open the back and push to rotate it back in place or just use your finger. You basically rotate the entire movement actually.

    I have a question for you. While you are taking the back the off, won't it mess up the water resistant and it will be water resistant?. Should you send it to Casio. I was told by them that it will mess it up. Please let me know. I really like your video's they are very helpful. If you ever sell your Frogman I will buy it.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  Před 4 lety

      I was told the same.
      Until I try and do it myself. None of those problems had ever occurred.
      It is locked with 4 screw on each corner, if I send it over to Casio, it will still be locked with 4 screws on each corner. I see no difference on the steps.
      Casio will do water pressure test, after they locked it with 4 screws on each corner same way I did. Its a 'Trial-and-Error' for them and same goes for me.
      Except I did do the test instead I just rely on experience. I did on literally hundreds of G-Shocks, none have water resistant issue afterwards.
      Take it however you like. As long as you do it right. You got nothing to worry about.

    • @DerpEye
      @DerpEye Před 4 lety +2

      Consider watchmakers open regularly watches that cost thousands, and nothing happens. The one thing you can do to insure better water resistance is to lube the gasket with silicon grease (as watchmakers do). A local dealer even tested my Rolex for water resistance in front of me in a water tank made for that purpose. So no, you don't send a watch to the manufacturer to change the battery, especially not watches this inexpensive.

    And Where is the alpha gel?

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  Před 6 lety

      I don’t think this watch have it. alpha gel was introduced into G-Shock starting 2013 if I’m not mistaken.
      This 5000 series is like a re-releases of the vintage 1983 model when there were still no alpha gel yet.

    The construction differs in the following ways:A hard resin internal shock absorbing structure was used to stop the module from slipping,internal components such as the crystal occilator and trimmer and the ic have resing buffering,and,the resin bezel is softer than that of the dw5600 all in order to still have a ten metre drop resistance.

  • @TheBubaololo

  • @kukipeter7524
    @kukipeter7524 Před 6 lety

    Too much plastic in the inside of the module even in a Made in Japan dw 5000.They last and they are great but the older models used more metal in their module,however,their metal cases were not finishid at all compared to this one which looks like jewelry in comparison.
    The lume on this model and the dw 5735 is really impressive,super illuminator LED light is put to shame by these.

      At least the casing is tougher to impact & longer lasting water resistant.
