The tail was a great addition. P.s. I am trying to figure out how you snap the uninflated part off? Do you have to have sharp fingernails?

You don't need long or sharp fingernails, but it doesn't hurt. Balloon Sage, Warrenann, and Mike Floyd (balloon animals) all have videos where they show techniques for breaking the balloon. It's really about doing it quickly and with force.
