- In this video Im fabricating bespoke mount, made specifically for the Jaguar XK8 XKR X100. As Ive decided to make my Carpuride W903 smart screen, a semi permanent installation in my Jaguar XK8. I want the best possible mounting position, but to avoid any risk of damage to the car. This screen will, in a single mod, update the sat nav, audio, and hands free calling. It will also add Internet Radio, Dash cam, a reversing camera and voice activation to my 27 year old V8 GT. ( As long as my smart phone is in my pocket.

Thanks Gerard. Im being more and more brutal with my editing and I think its for the better. My 30-minute CZcams videos are starting off as 4-5 hours of footage, as typically I just start the camera and occasionally move the tripod or hand hold for a while. However when viewed back the interesting/worrying thing is that I generally commentate throughout! so I have to re-watch 4 plus hours of something that I gave already spent 4 plus hours doing, to decide which bits of gibber jabber and pointing are essential to the message or guide. So its getting very time-consuming. To the extent that I did two jobs on my Ducato and 1 on the Jag last week that i didnt film, because i just needed them done.
It genuinely made me feel guilty that I didnt share them with my invisible friends😁
Hi John, I have this idea now too. I bought a 10.3 inch full HD carplay. In addition, a used burl wood cover for the dashboard in the middle. If I take out my NAVIGATION without any problems I will put the carplay in the cover I bought. That's the plan!! I will take photos then. 😅 But that takes time. I haven't received the goods yet.

6061-T6 or 5052-T0? Those are called tooling holes. Make all bends at right angle to the grain for best results.
Having fitted separate dash cam, snooper device and iPhone dash mount for my trip to Paris next week, I have found that all that info takes away the pleasure of driving the XKR because it is all very distracting. Its all temporary, so it will all be removed upon my return. Thats just me though.
