Why is there a need to perform quality control on sequenced data?
As NGS analysis tools become more sophisticated in their capabilities and runtimes, it is important to ensure that the data being fed into these tools is correct and accurate before computational and human time is spent trying to interpret the result. What makes a library fail or pass and thus suitable for Bioinformatic analysis? How is that criteria determined?
