  • An amazing first trip to bressingham!! As it was a bank holiday the was lots going on, every line was in operation and there was additional traditional steam rollers too!! My main aim was to see Black Princes sister locomotives Rosenkavalier and Männertreu. I saw them both but only Rosenkavalier was in service!
    Hope you enjoy the film!!!!

I'm a driver at the museum and am constantly amazed at the supidity of some of our visitors. The lad running across in front of Bronllwyd (at 6:10)being a classic example. If he had tripped over the rails he would have stood no chance! People don't realise how far a train takes to stop.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed your visit, hope you'll come back and do another video soon.

A very nice video there Cameron. I went to Bressingham the day before and like you, my main aim was to see Rosenkavalier and Männertreu. 5*

Nice engine! I think that's a better livery than Black Prince which I think looks rather, well, black! I half expected to see Wayne Avery's brother driving her!

Nice video mate, i have always wanted to go to Bressingham to see Black Prince's sisters. Might be a while until Prince is in service, i've heard she failed her hydraulic boiler test with leaking tubes.

This little locomotive at the beginning was built in Germany Dusseldorf for the 1937
Reichsaustellung (Exhibition) "SCHAFFENDES VOLK", the train managed to transport 5 Million People (!) over one year through the Dusseldorf Nothern Park, where the exhibition took place.

I've watched the rest of this now, it's another wonderful piece of film Cameron! The scene at 9:30 of the two different scales together must be almost unique. Some amusing safety faux pas too, notably the people underestimating the train between 5:40 and 6:15 and the bloke with no hi-vis clothing operating the gate at 4:30 and I hope that wasn't you being told to "get off the track" at 4:04! Some curious sets of initials on the rolling stock too: WVR, NR, EGR?

great video, but must be terrifying being a driver with idiots like that around. I fire on the Great Central Railway and have seen some daft things there but nothing like the scene with the narrow guage loco and the idiots crossing feet in front of her!
