This was great!! You hit a lot of good points! I would say a con is the fact that people think all lash artist can do the same kinds of work. Like I have mostly natural lash clients who like their volumes and hybrids natural and not super dark but ppl will book me and show me a picture of a mega volume set or a super dramatic set and Im like no ma'am, thats not the kind of work I do or promote!! I always do it though and its never a problem with them its just I prefer what I prefer lol. Being able to stay in your lane isn't talked about enough imo!! Loved this convo starter!!!
Touching on the matter where people say certain things like "maybe you shouldnt etc or is you sure you wanna do this" when i first became a server, i has a table tell me that maybe this is not the industry i should be working for. This was my first time working in this industry and it really made me question myself. dont let people discourage you from doing what you wanna do. Now i look back at that situation and I laugh because I became a strong server.
Thinking of going this route for work. And so glad i saw this. Im a introvert so i dont know how i would handle the personal questions or angry clients.
Typically, I think if there’s an issue within the first few days, it’s a tech issue, after that it’s usually something on their end & it could be ssoooo many things from their face products to their lifestyle 🤯 really great video !! 💛
Thanks for the fyi. In this business I know you have to have thick skin. And handling different personalities can be a real trip in itself. Trying to keep things as professional as possible. And you are right on the tmi. They don’t need to know your life story to personal and nosy. Great tips👍😊
I just found your channel and this video is very helpful! You said at the end that you came from a corporate setting and that's what I'm currently doing. I'm starting lash school in a couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to the change, but it's nerve wracking! LOL. Ok, I'm going to binge watch your other videos. This one was great! Thanks for sharing!!! 😊
Hey! Glad my videos are helping you! I was alone in this transition because I didn’t know anyone who was switching from corporate to taking a risk on themselves to lash so that’s why I wanted to make videos for others out there 😊 Good luck on your journey!
Thank you for these videos I’m wanting to do lashes and other things and people do be extra nosey I don’t feel comfortable answering all those questions about personal life lol
Wow, love this. I've been in corporate America for 24 years. I discovered lashing I'm 2019 got certified, then went to school to become an esthetian. Covid happened and just discouraged me a lot. But got back to it just got licensed in November and been just practicing lashing hard core since December and I can definitely tell the growth now time for people.....SCARY. thanks for this.
It depends on if you’re working for yourself or for someone else. If you’re working for someone else then you’d have a time off policy and rules set for coverage. If you’re working for yourself then you plan your time off and tell clients in advance that you’ll be out on vacation, its up to you how much time you take off

Thanks for the transparency
Also tears leads to serious shedding
Yess!!! Clients who cry often or tear when they laugh typically have low retention 😩

Happy for you! Yeah you’ll definitely notice your growth as time goes on, wishing you the best!
What about for people that will be lashing at home studio? What are some safety precautions you can take?
Do you make your own lash shampoo?
Hey! Yes, I use Prolong
How you
Deal when going on vacation , how you
Tell
Your clients? How often you take time
Off for
Yourself? Im a lil overwhelmed 😒🥲
