Satoshi Ishii is a 2008 Judo Olympic Gold Medalist and accomplished MMA athlete and submission grappler. This is an excerpt from NEW WAVE JUDO available from JudoFanatics.com.
Judo Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your Judo skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for Judo Students who don’t look at Judo as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

More Iishi sensei. Awesome.
How feasible would it be for non-native English speakers to speak in their native language and just have subtitles added? I feel like Ishi (and all the other non-native speakers I've watched) have some great stuff that they would have touched on or included if not for the language barrier. Also it takes them much longer to get to the point and makes the instructional harder to watch. We're all rewatching and rewinding these for little details anyway, subtitles would be a small tradeoff for a much better final product.
Agree. I watched the whole DVD, and often times Satoshi would struggle to explain a point, whereas if he spoke in Japanese, he could explain everything clearer and better. Putting in subtitles would be the best way to go.
I can't agree more. The language barrier hits HARD and I can tell he has some great things to say but can't because of that.
Nice

Should have pick a more prepared uke.
Poor fella
That’s Rian Russo, I believe he’s one of Jimmy Pedro’s guys. He’d probably throw both you two of Ippon.
@@Pric3less1 No doubt he would, but I think me and BiroProfil were talking about his lack of preparedness to be demonstrating for this video.
