I'm 76er die hard and didn't want Harden. I feel we gave up way too much but the man averages 23/8/10 this season playing alongside Kyrie and KD. Them numbers gonna skyrocket playing with Embiid.
@@ProdbyGrimeyred I'm mostly concerned with the chemistry between MVPiid and Harden, but after seeing his introductory press conference I think Harden knows how things stand. I really hope Harris benefits from all this, I still think he will need to be a huge piece in having a deep playoff run.

@@PIP-zf9yb how much longer for Brooklyn though? KD isnât getting much younger, and Kyrie is getting up there too. After that, theyâll have to surround Ben with pure shooters and superstars because heâs still not gonna shoot, and I wouldnât expect him to take games over when needed too

This is one of those trades where both teams clearly won. People were calling out the 76ers to trade Simmons for scraps because they were wasting Embiid's prime. Now they get Harden for him? That's crazy good for Philly.
How can the team win who got a pg who doesn't shoot or even kno how to shoot
@@vapaperboi ben doesnt need to shoot much in nets they have seth, kyrie, and a bunch of guys who can shoot.
That was Morey's only viable move in order to justify holding Simmons for this long. When the report came out that the Sixers were almost begging the Nets to trade Harden, that told me Morey had nothing else in the works at all. Harden was his life boat.
That Kings trade are definitely not scraps tho. The other trades are but hey, Morey got the guy that he wants and we ain't mad đ€·ââïž. Finally, Embiid has a PG
@@vapaperboi because they don't need him to be a scorer when they have Kd and Kyrie. It's about fit not everything is one dimensional in sports. He brings defense (the Nets lack that a lot) not to mention he is a great facilitator so the Nets don't lose anything in that regard, Drummond brings rim protecting and inside scoring (Nets lack that), when you have kyrie and Durant who can score 30 or 40 a piece what you need another scorer for who who do the same? Plus they got a sharpshooter in Seth.
Philly got a one or two year window. Nets when they get chemistry down pack and get just accept this season as a throwaway this team is easily a favorite for next year title (as long as Kd and kyrie stay healthy).
Problem is James Harden has a nagging hamstring injury, and he is going to want a max contract at the end of the season. Big risk for Philly's future. The Nets just got a player that complements Durant and Kyrie, and sets up people like Patty Mills for open shots, and plays great defense on multiple positions, and they got a good three point shooter in Seth Curry.
yeah but hardens hamstring is just as much of a liability as ben's brain.
@@adamrudofker6220 so before these last 2 years, Ben Simmons was a great player to everyone. He has the accolades to prove that. He wanted out of Philly and did what he had to do just to get that to happen. Itâs nothing wrong with him and youâll see

Harden's down year: 22.5ppg 8 rebounds 10.2 assists.
And we see him not being focused and motivated on the court cause of all the drama in Brooklyn. With shooters all around him AND ESPECIALLY a monster like Embiid as his pick and roll partner, he will have a lot of assists.
Itâs going to be nuts him and embiid, itâs going to be a new version of Shaq and Kobe
Ong the 76ers about to be tuff u canât expect harden to be the same when heâs surrounded by roll players who canât space the floor besides patty heâs taking shots on 2 to 3 people because they have James Johnson Bruce brown and 3 rookies as there roll players n none of them can shoot

He also turns the ball over way too easily and doesnât really seem interested in playing defence. That was a problem with the Nets.
@@CriminalScrutinyTV I heard it was going to be nuts with KD and Kyrie, what happened?

Great take đđ»
Agreed. Everyone is missing Ibaka to the Bucks.
yes they still need time to build that chemistry
Embiid and Harden do not sync well. They are both the same kind of player.
@@Amor1990 they're not at all. Shut up doofus.
I completely agree with Chuck. James Harden needs the ball in his hands a lot to be effective. He is consistently one of the most ball dominant players in the league. But Joel needs a lot of touches and he is the franchise player.
Thatâs why there is 48 minutes played a game. Thereâs enough room for both of them to shine. And regardless of how theyâre shooting, they will attract enough attention to leave maxey, Harris, thybulle, etc. wide open for 3. Not to mention all the foul trouble harden and Embiid will put teams in
Harden is gonna have to realize he's a top 5 passer first. When two top two scorers join the same team it rarely equates to championships. I.E. Melo and AI in Denver. Harden has to accept his role as a 10/11 assist a game player and put up around 14 shots a game. None of the 3-20 fg, 2-13 3fg Harden anymore throwing up shots.

Simmons was a non player on the sixers and now they have harden. So, sixers definitely got better. The Nets made the deal because they didnât want to lose Harden for nothing in free agency. If he signed an extension, they would never trade him.
2 first round draft choices, good outside shooter and backup center,, and Philly got better deal?
Nets got the offense, even with Ben, they have to play better d. Some of that is coaching, fighting thru screens.

i think they both won depending on simmons, he doesnt have to be a shooter anymore and the 6ers get a guy who isnt afraid to take shots.. also the nets get all that picks so thats kind of sways it in their favor a bit, although they'll be bottom of the draft type picks but still picks
I will laugh if Simmons drops like 20+ points a game since joining the nets
The Hornets picking up Montrezl Harrell helps them out tremendously if he can bring that same energy he had on the Clippers
Too selfish. Literally n become a problem on every team he is on. Too divisive
Perfect guy to get Melo's back. Melo will love feeding Trez the ball. Bridges and Trez bring some muscle under the basket.
I am excited to see how much Harrell energy works with the team. Should be great
@Bully Maguire losing ish is not a big deal at all. Losing him means more time for Melo and an opportunity for James Bouknight
People always say bad things about Harrell. The fact is he is a tough guy in the paint, giving you 15 a game with > 60% efg. Any one/player who points finger at him, take a look at yourself and see whether you are hitting those standards. If not, shut up.
This could go all ways. Either way: Itll be interesting. And both teams can finally go a new direction again.
I agree with you .. I can see this work for both sides
Suns in 16
Bklyn now has Strength in the middle. Hopefully he will help on the boards at 6'10 and let Kyrie and KD shoot as much as they like
Agree 100% itâs gonna be interesting to see how both teams figure it out going forward. I think it benefits the Sixers more short term but definitely the Nets long term, swapping 32 y/o harden with 25 y/o Simmons
Nets def won this trade tho.....Granted Philly was in a bind, and had to get rid of a malcontent player...That said, Harden is only shooting 41% from the field this year, and looks to have lost a step or two....There is only one ball to go around, now Brooklyn has a 6'10 point guard/big, who can dish it out to KD, Kyrie, Curry etc. and play lockdown defense...Not to mention getting Drummond who is a rebound machine(and two first round picks)
TNT mustâve forgot that Ernie is the one that decides when they go to commercial break.
Fr đđ đ
6ers need to win a chip in the next 2-3 years for them to win this trade, they gave up a lot of depth but simmons put them in a tough spot. I'd side with the nets bc they added another shooter with seth, got some depth with drummond, and simmons can play well in his role. With how young simmons is vs harden and his lifestyle I see the trade working out for the nets in the future
Harden is 2nd in assist table this year, playing mostly without Kyrie. Philly will be a monster if this works out.
Harden is 2nd in turnovers too behind only Westbrook. The Nets won this trade and it ain't even close. They gave up a lazy shell of himself who can't flop his way to 37ppg anymore due to the rule changes & got back 3 starters and two 1st round picks.
@@LeesUp Do you legitimately think Harden went from 36ppg to 22 all because of rule changes? He's only shooting like two less Free Throw attempts than he was in Houston..So clearly we can't logically say he scores less due to him not being able to flop lol
I agree, I think hardens playmaking will make Philly's offense even more scary. My only concern for them would be his scoring. I think he'll have to get back to being an efficient 25+ guy for them to go all the way.
@@emmanuelmoses7249 ong people donât
Look at the fact that this Brooklyn team is way different from ly when harden first got there his numbers decreased this year because heâs not getting any good shots because nobody outside of patty n kd can hit a jumper consistently so they donât let patty shoot and have multiple defenders help on him heâs taking shots on 2 sometimes 3 people itâs way different now roll players n philly are better watch he turn back into mvp harden
Harden has been unleashed. Darryl Morey is GM. Sit back and watch the show. Critics use to say he too ball dominate Mr. "dribble, dribble, dribble". Then he deferred to Kd and Kylie and they say he ain't the same anymore. Just admit he is everyone favorite player to hate. but sit back and just witness this show.
Nets won the trade but this is the best case scenario for the 76ers. People forget how low Simmonsâ trade value was. The Warriors were hesitant to give up Wiseman. Landing Harden for a guy that refused to play and a center that gets no minutes on your current roster is a major W
I agreeâŠbut also Seth and picks. Nets with the finesse
If they don't win a Chip its an absolute loss for Philly
You're right but Harden just straight up sucked this season
@@Jay-rg5mt the picks mean nothing. It's gonna be a late 20's next year and the 2027 pick is protected top 8. Kid is in 8th grade right now. @@Jay-rg5mt Seth is big loss and will really help the Nets but idk how valuable the picks will be. Theyâll be late first round and most of those players donât even crack the roster, let alone heavily contribute during their NBA careers
I'm with Chuck on this one. The Sixers gave up a guy who can get double figure rebounds in 16-17 minutes, a lights out perimeter shooter, an elite wing defender with length and two first round picks for an aging, disgruntled, 30+ swingman with bad hamstrings who will stunt the growth of Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers took a bath on this one.
and 20 mill in fines) dont 76s get their money back?
I doubt this completely because Thybulle is one of the top five wing defenders.
The Sixers traded away a dude that has had problems with being competitive and consistent his whole career, Curry who is a baller obviously but is in a slump rn, and Andre Drummond which allows Paul Reed who was defensive player of the year and mvp in the g-league as a rookie last year to fill the role along with Paul Millsap, and two first round picks which will amount for nothing since they'll be late or middle at best. They're like fourth or fifth in the east right now and they're adding a hall of famer who will immediately make the team better than it was before without having to give up Maxey or Thybulle. That's a win for the Sixers. And Maxey's growth wont be stunted at all he will still be relied on as much as before since Curry is gone now.

Chuck saying James is slowing down as if KD isnt older and dealing with more injuries and Kyrie is a part time employee. Both teams did well, but Sixers replaced seth curry with Harden in their starting lineup. Less moving pieces for Philly who were already a contender in the east w out a minute played from Ben
If 76ers play Nets in playoffs they're gonna go Hack-A-Ben the whole 4th quarter hope Ben Bricks doesn't shoot 34% in playoffs again or else KD will roast him
hell every team is going to do that
You guys are idiots đ€Ł he has Harris Kd Irving Mills he doesn't have to shoot...I'd suggest running him as a PF let him post up,lay it up,slash, pass, set screens he can be used in so much more aspects plus usually PF aren't shooting a crazy amount
@@Meeks1102 heâs gonna have to shoot free throws in the 4th quarter of playoff games. You think other teams would rather have KD shoot a three in their face, or hack Ben Simmons? Philly here and I'm with Chuck on this. Curry was a hurt losing but I'm more worried about losing Drummond. He was playing good ball and giving quality minutes when Embiid was getting rest. First time during the Embiid era I wasn't worried about his relief when he'd sit for a few. Harden is definitely a win now situation. I'd also like to add that Harden might pack on some more weight unless he can resist the temptation of eating all the great food we have here.
đ€« đ€ŠđŸââïž
What good food? Dude was living in New York
@@MatthewCBChan anything they make in NY is ten times better in Philly and South Jersey
@@MatthewCBChan yeah, was talking about the food in Philly.
Yeah but he only play 13 minutes a night bro... think about this... u can get a backup big on the buyout market...so you got to where u got with Curry and Drummond... you replace Curry with Harden and we really gone think Drummond the difference? We good bro.. I hear you but Drummond is replaceable bro
I think both teams won. A fresh start and renewed motivation for both. Sixers were obviously not going anywhere with Simmons sitting out or even playing, Harden was sick and tired of playing with a part-time superstar, and with the Nets not getting any younger, last season and this season would be their best and probably only chance of winning the chip. With Kyrie's situation there was no way that dysfunctional team was going to beat the Bucks in the playoffs this year. They probably couldn't even beat the Bulls in the playoffs with part-time Kyrie.
We already knew whichever team got Ben Simmons would lose. The nets got Ben Simmons
@@Armenian_King Yea. The Nets traded their only star who actually played this year and who is averaging a triple double per game, and they got a dude who can't shoot a basketball and always vanishes in the playoffs and hasn't touched a basketball in 9 months, and a backup center who will leave in free agency in 5 months, and a 32 year old bench player shooter in Curry who will sign with his brother in Golden State in a year. The Nets did not win this trade lol.
Win their away playoff games with Irving( good possibility) only have to win one at home without him( not a good possibility). Maybe next year
Larry and Jeremy, you both make valid arguments. But I'll add two things: 1. Simmons is young and durable 2. Simmons plays great defense.
Harden is a great triple double threat but with his age and lack of conditioning, I'd say Harden has about 2 good years left so for Philly it's win soon or bust. The Nets at worst (assuming Simmons shooting demons never leave) could still end up with a great defensive player for at least the next 5 years.
But can you imagine if Simmons is able to turn his shooting around!? We wouldn't even be talking about both teams winning then, we'd be talking about the Nets getting away with a steal!
They were beating the bucks before Irving got hurt. You add Simmons, Seth and Drummond and Nets will sweep the bucks.
Chuck what are you saying đđ€Šââïž
I think about 100 years ago a judge in a court said " A fair deal is when it is fair for both parties". Next....... we will see who got the best deal sometime in 2022
Chuck is right the nets won the trade his point was spot on
The sixers won the trade their main trade piece was someone that hasn't played a game this season. Although they gave up some depth they got back James freakin Harden someone who can easily average 28 a game. Since the sixers were able to get harden without giving up thybulle or maxey is crazy so the sixers won the trade.
We talking about a man who couldnât even win with the likes of Dwight, CP3, Westbrook, and KD himself. Nasty Duo on paper, but what they gonna do against teams like the Suns, Warriors, Bucks, Heat, and Nets? Outshoot them? Sixers gave up size, defense, and a sniper in Seth Curry.
Have been watching the sixers They didnât lose any defense Who Drummond please He wasnât all the sixers defense
76ers have come close to beating all those teams this season with just embiid. With Harden added the Sixers should be able to handle those teams no problem
@@daboss6614 keep dreaming Sixers ass second or first round exits every year
Drummond sucks. The only big loss for Philly is Seth. Harden is a lot better than Seth and Simmons combined. Harden plays really well with centers, hes one of the best playmakers out of the pick and roll, him and Embiid in pick and roll is lethal. Philly won here.

The Hornets & Bucks won on trade day! Both teams got increasingly stronger.
The Bucks trade makes more sense for them. Hornets, I donât know. Bucks will certainly make another run and potentially win the East. Wouldnât be surprised to see Giannis reel off a second ring.
Maybe blame the guy who screwed up the connection within the team by deciding to only show up to play half the games.

@@ebenezerindi1766 lol one bad playoff series? Jesus, who are you, the braindead 76ers execs? Simmons has been a problem from the beginning. It was never about what he can or cannot do. It is about his mentality. He has no desire to improve.

I am a Ben Simmons fan and have been following his career in the NBA. He has been playing the same way since he entered the NBA. The Philly fans are right. I have not seen any improvement in BS game but Embiid has improved alot. Maybe the change will do BS some good. Atlanta Hawks really did a number on him. His mind is messed up. The Philly fans did not do that to Ben Simmons. The Alanta Hawks did. He was humiliated, embrassed and lost his confidence.
the only thing i dislike about harden simmon trade was it includes seth curry..i know he is not a star but I think this is a loss for sixers and a gain for nets
Agreed, can't believe they gave up Seth. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out but Sixers gave up way too much.
Everyone gets Drummond and Curry won't be on the Nets in a year right? They trades for 2 rentals, 2 late first, and the softest player in the league. It's fun watching everyone attempt to say the nets won though.
The Nets are hurting for added depth and Harden is putting up more turnovers than points if he even makes it to the court. Simmons is emotionally weak, not physically. He needs veteran players and leadership because he'll just burrow into the ground on a team where everyone hates him.
âAndrew Drummondâ đđđđ
I'm so upset that the Bulls didn't go after a big that can be a presence to either block or alter shots.
I agree. I think they made a big mistake.
Green plays a lot bigger than he is. I think weâre waiting till the off season to make a move. No rush. Weâre getting a championship in the next two years.
So Giannas, Embed and KD must be retiring in two years! Also DeMar, Vuc and Zach who is having knee problems will still be playing at a high levels!!! Also Zach is looking at getting a new contract with more money?! So you must be smoking some kush!!
Well, as a lifelong 76er fan I guess its fine - we protected the core/young players and got rid of Simmons who I canât stand. The one thing this team has lacked since Butler left was a guy who can get buckets in the 4th, get to the line, break his guy down 1-1. We are full of Danny Greenâs just like when Covington was here - guys who have to be open to chuck 3âs and canât do much else. That iso scoring outside of Embiid has been lacking and we havenât had anyone to anchor the offense when heâs out
I still can't believe they let Jimmy and JJ walk and instead paid Tobias. I honestly think they'd have won a title had they not done that
Unfortunately Harden won't show up in the playoffs!

That year with Jimmy yall should have won and itâs why I think everyone is too hard on Ben about his terrible playoff performance last year. Ben is best playing point guard but in the fourth quarter, especially in half court offense, he should be playing power forward as screen man or operating out of the dunkers spot and the elbows. Like in Brooklyn heâll take the ball up most of the time I bet but in the 4th quarter Kyrie or KD will because Nash isnât dense.
This was obviously a huge win for the Nets. 20th in defense, added an elite defender and Drummond down low to crash the boards. Seth đ who's đ„, 2022 1st and 2027. Damn. FA and a pick in this year's deep draft. By far better coming in next year than Philly and for the future.
Judging off how good Drummond and Seth looked yesterday, Brooklyn won. Meanwhile harden already out until after all star break
seth curry to the nets is an underrated grab for the nets. Patty Mills, Seth Curry, and when Joe Harris gets better makes for a lot of additional shooting to help Kevin Durant and Kyrie.
As we all know Barkley is flawless with his predictions

Its a good trade for both teams, but I'd say the risk of failure is higher for the 6ers than it is for the Nets. Alternatively, if the 6ers work out with Harden AND Embiid then they win the trade

the risk isn't higher for the nets, cause they got 2 future 1st round picks.. so even if simmons is a dud, they got drummond, seth, and 2 1st round picks, that's already a better deal than a fat version of harden
Harden isn't nearly as productive since they've implemented the new contact rules. Durant and Kyrie don't need Ben to be a shooter. Nets won this deal.

Damm Shaq been right! James Harden letting Embiid eat and its working

Mmmm, didnât work with the nets
Harden is an MVP level scorer and playmaker. Simmons is a DPotY level player and playmaker. Honestly, both teams got a piece they needed. Embiid and Harden should be the best duo in the league, Simmons will at worst be insane on defense and a mismatch for most 4s.
I think the Nets won because they ended up with picks and Seth. So you upgraded the shorter and got a playmaker and better defender. Seth is gonna have OPEN looks with this team and might be good for 12-15. If Simmons gets you 15/8/8, that basically replaces harden this season. The other argument is philly got someone who will play so trading someone who isn't for someone who is will be an upgrade. But... we'll see.
Ben Simmons is not a dpoty we all knew he was never going to win that. Heâs not good enough
Ben Simmons is just a above average defenders and thatâs because he tries because he canât do much on offense beside pass
Nets needed the depth with Seth,Drummond and summons. Better defense, rebounding, and a playmaker in simmons. They have fixed alot of flaws with this trade.

Iâd wtf Shaq is talking about. The Nets needed Harden to score THIS year and he hasnât done it. Heâs a very good playmaker but he also turns the ball over A LOT. Charles is right both Embiid and Harden need the ball to be effective. Harden doesnât move without the ball at all and he hasnât shot the ball well from deep. The Sixers are going to miss Sethâs spacing imo.
Kyrie need the ball, Durant need the ball Ben simmons need the ball .so Nets loose ?
@@lgustavovgarcia8759 Durant and Kyrie actually move and play well off the ball. Of course there will be timers where they are the primary playmakers but Simmons can fulfill Hardenâs role as the lead facilitator and pick his spots offensively.
Simmons, Durant, Kyrie Harden, Embid, Tobias I really don't see where the second trio would be more demanding in the ball. Because the net trio requires infinitely more dribble per touch and more possession time with the ball in hand.
Ben nets remains a good fit because it will have a lot of spacing to score. He is good at finding 3-point shooters (90% of the net squad: D) and his shortcomings on the transition (too mutch to) can be filled by a lot of players in the squad
On the other hand very few shots to take. I think that Ben Simmons around 20pts is a definitively dead project (paradoxically because he will have the best spacing of his career around him)
