I love watching those 2 arguing when they are making the same point using different words Lol

Now you see why Shaq has never been accused of making other players better. He was NEVER considered a great or even a good leader. After watching this segement now I know why.
The genius of coaches like Phil Jackson is that Shaq didn't even realize that he was being coached to success. This allowed Phil to work his magic while also preserving Shaq's ego, which created a virtuous cycle.
He regularly puts everything on the star players and almost no credit to coaches for good performances
Great players and great leaders are two different things. Barkley is talking about great leaders and Shaq is talking about great players.

Ernie turning his head back and forth as both Shaq and Chuck was arguing was hilarious đđđ
Chuck is saying to run the offense to Embidd which will open up the wings. Just like the 90s where Centers dominated the game. Cmon Shaq you have to exploit weaknesses,.dont play dumb
Crazy, how they talk like Philly is up 2-0 giving the Knicks no credit for clinching 2nd place. Refs is saving Philly like the ref was saving Haney while Ryan applied a dedicated a whooping
They arenât agreeing.
Shaq is saying a starâs main priority should be dominating as a scorer and simply making the right plays. Whoever helps him out, good, thatâs what theyâre supposed to do.
Chuck is saying the star player needs to make a conscious effort to get his role players going.
Every time these 2 get into it; I remember their fight back in Houston like it was yesterday !!! đ
I love this show..even when they argue itâs must see tv ..thanks you guys đ€Ł
love these 2!
I agree with Shaq. Great players job is to make right decision for every play because most of the time great players have the ball in crucial moments of the game. It is the coach's job to motivate players. If the other guys are not motivated to play then it's not on Embiid or Maxey.
Shaq is wrong - you get a player "going" by giving him some early touches so he isn't ice cold when you finally decide to start passing out of the double. Shaq acting like he always made the right play when he was ALWAYS doubled yet his assists are less than 3...
lol its funny that shaq and charles argue having the same point
I thought Ernie was gonna get whiplash flippin his head around left to right like that. Shoutout to the Godfather.
Shaq provides zero useful analysis on a nightly basis. His only role is sitting up straight - looking pompous and dismissive - providing comedic relief sometimes - and establishing himself as the alpha over Charles Barkley. Thatâs it!
This all could have been resolved by defining what "getting a teammate going" means. Shaq thought Chuck's definition of it was "making sure 'the others' are prepared to knock down shots when the star player gets them the ball". When in reality, Chuck's definition of it was simply for the star player to find the open man. These two were just missing each other. Could have been diffused in about 10 seconds.
Joel is not a leader. It's obvious. Some players just don't have that mentality.
If everyone can simply get going then everyone would be a great player. Being a great players isnât the same as being a great leader thatâs why you have a coach.
I watched this live and genuinely could not grasp the reason the yelling began lol
This is the best thing on TV đđ
Making the right plays will get your teammates going. And it is everyoneâs own job to get up to speed, but as a leader or pg you have to get teammates going as well. Idky they always gotta argue, itâs basically the same thingđ
Thank you Shaq and Chuck for being great communicators. I've learned a lot from you guys.
Chuck is right. If he kicks it out of the double team thatâs how you get the guys going. Theyâre both right.
Every day there must be a pre-show meeting with the agenda:
Chuck: mispronounce a name or two.
Kenny: make some minor point.
Chuck: try to expound with some insights
Shaq: Blast Chuck, and make him eat his words.
Chuck: say it slightly differently, but donât you dare give in.
Shaq and Chuck: talk over each other for a couple minutes about sweet nothings.
Earnie: intervene. Mediate.
Kenny: Calmly take the diplomatic middle ground.
