    Great video J! Will Q4 also kill purslane? I seem to have a lot of that here in Davis County this year. I sprayed Tzone on my place 10 days ago and it eradicated most weeds (even bindweed!) with the exception of Purslane.

      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Hey thanks! Purslane is labeled on tzone and q4. So it should be hit by both. I normally take it out with tzone, mind emailing me pics? Info@diygrasscare.com

      @@TheGreenerLawn Thanks! I am gonna do Q-4 in a week or so to get ride of the odd grassy weeds. If that doesn't kill the purslane, I will drop you a pic or two. Thanks again! I have both but usually use T-Zone since it requires less concentrate in the mix.

      Yes, the trick to it is to apply it early in the morning b4 it hits 90 degrees or late at night after it drops below 90 degrees. (Make sure it drys b4 it hits 90).

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Things you will notice vs tenacity.
      Q4:
      Quicker kill
      Better kill
      No bleaching
      Quick visual results
      Tenacity
      Can be used during overseeding
      Has a pre emergent (not great but it does help block. Best with overseeding tho)
      Yes this is an awesome herbicide for the job vs tenacity.

    Hi, is this Q4 supposed to smell bad? I bought a bottle last year and I never sprayed it in my lawn because the bottle itself smells really bad. I have not even opened it and it smells really bad where ever i store it. I had it in my shed, and it stink it up then i put it outside and whenever I pass near it, I can smell it so I'm afraid to spray it in my lawn and then have a smelly lawn for weeks. How long after spraying It will it smell like How long after spraying is it safe for my kids to go out and play in the yard. Is it supposed to smell that bad or did I possibly just bought a bottle that was contaminated from another product?thank you

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 2 měsíci

      It does not smell awesome. I doubt that the smell is any different than any other bottle because it does have a strong smell. This one is safe for pets and kids after dry. Keep either of them from just eating any weeds specifically, that have been treated. Once dry, the smell dissipates and is not noticeable.

    my yard has been taken over with Sheep Sorrel aka Red Sorrel. Over winter it mass produced. I am lucky to have any grass in the yard. Will this kill this weed to the roots. I could just cry my yard is horrible. 3/4 of the yard is sheep sorrel. please help. I am just overwhelmed. I already know I have to put lime down but I was told to kill this weed first.

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 3 měsíci

      What grass type do you have?
      Depending on the type of grass this will be the way to remove sorrel. It’s tough, so I’d do a blanket spray and then spot spray any left overs 28 days later.
      Did you do a soil test to be using lime?

    • @marjoriebanovetz

      @@TheGreenerLawn We are not worried about the grass as there hardly is any grass left. I will be replanting grass. I should have taken a picture. So will it kill it completely the sheep sorrel that is. and will it kill it to the roots. I started to hand pull it but as more snow melted (we had 65 degrees yesterday) I could have cried seeing how much more it has taken over since last year. yard is 90% sheep sorrel. Ridiculous how this took over in two years. we tried just regular weed killer last year and it killed it but not the roots and it came back with a vengance. I work in forestry dept at a university and was told to hand pull so I just about died when I seen it as the snow is melting. I have two pear trees my veggie garden is in the middle and one flowering bush. I will hand pull around those but just need to kill this stuff once and for all. I appreciate all the help you are giving us. I have a main yard across the street which is beautiful lawn and then this one which is across the street where we have another garage, shed, camper on a slab, and a veggie garden. I really need to take care of this completly this year so next year i have a beautiful lawn again. have no idea how to show you a photo on this site.

      @@marjoriebanovetz it should, you could see new seeds popping tho, and that is where better grass coverage is best to keep them at bay.
