    Yo EBG! iTS BEEN RAINING ALOT OF LATE IN sAN Diego, and Im getting into making a rain coat cover for my ebike to do my deliveries. I ve been collecting those plastic bin boxes Amazon leaves around once they empty . I have 3 of them and going to cut out the boxes to fit my rear tire of the back motor, I use regular tarp cover for the middle frame where batteries are and controllers. For the front Im going to use a plastic side panel of 2 to cover the sides of front tire motor of lacing them or using cable ties to the side fork legs. Ive already been riding in the rain of light but its now getting heavy long duration rain forcing me to be more creative, lol..As long as I can cover the tire s of motors I should be fine and only have to avoid flooded pools of water of 5 inches or more deep. But in the rain, Ive learned I HAVE TO not zip thru turns as Ive wiped out a few times doing this as habit. I know now I have to slow down to almost complete stop of a 2mph speed while laying off the throttle in the rain. I was lucky I wear a motorcycle helmet for it was my head that made contact first. Yeah, a slight shell shock when it happened with just minor headache for a few minutes. When Im done I may post on my channel, lol. So keep you on check to follow thru. Stay safe EBG, you needed.

      When you wipe out on turns, bike takes you straight to the side in a flash, so keep this in mind. Its not fun and a bit concerning of falling to side without any time to slap out with hands.

      @@E-bikeguy Yeah, I'm getting this front light next month, it's fantastic!
      I had to buy a new hub motor kit as I made the dumb mistake of letting someone I know borrow my bike... Got it back a right mess (wasn't happy) so now I'm gunna strip it down, slap a new 1500w48v kit on it and get it right back to how it was/should still be...
      I dropped lucky as the kit I bought (same exact one I initially had) the Voilamart 1500w48v (with 52v20ah) was now priced at £193 as opposed to the £279 it was before.

      That would be really helpful for the viewers, great idea..
      I've just had to order a full 1500w48v rear hub motor kit again - due to letting someone borrow my ride and it coming back in a very sorry state...
      Never again will I let anyone ride my pride and joy (once it's all fixed up to my standard of how it should be)..
      When I initially bought the exact same 1500w48v Voilamart kit it was £279 - I dropped lucky this time around as I was able to get it from a UK supplier (as opposed to a long wait from a China order) for the better price of £193.

      @@Panagiotis-Skordilis While they might seem a bit pricey, products made in the USA often come with a higher cost due to the quality and standards they uphold.
      Personally, I prefer to invest in American-made goods to support local businesses and the values I believe in, when I'm able too. I've had my light for five years without any issues, which speaks to its durability and quality. It's always a choice between buying cheap and buying once. It sounds like your reaction might be more about the price than the actual experience with the product.
      Not saying that the Sofirn lights are not good, I have two and both are a decent lights for the price. My comment was not meant to be disrespectful towards E-Bike Guy or down talk any products. So if it came across the way, my bad.

    Hey Tommy my friend!
    How are you doing today ?
    I need to ask you a question because I just cannot find an acceptable answer anywhere.
    It's about dual motor setup. For the last 4 month I have been experimenting 2 motor setup and I like it a lot but as a control freak I am not satisfied with my throttle wiring.
    my throttle is powered by the front motor controller and signal + ground of throttle is hooked to both controller
    so I can use dual motor or single front motor only.
    How do I wire throttle if I want to be able to use rear only , front only or dual motor?
    Bright my path please Tommy
    Cheers

    • @E-bikeguy
      @E-bikeguy  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Oh ok to use either or I would consider a 3 position switch so maybe you can toggle between front or back or even both. Ues it in conjunction with your throttle

    • @hansplourde
      @hansplourde Před 6 měsíci

      yeah, you see I thought about that but I'm not sure how I would wire that and cannot find such diagram
      would I have to use a 3 position switch for the throttle power selection and another switch for the controllers selection?
      I have installed 2 kill switches 1 for each controller and a main power button that just disable the battery

    • @hansplourde
      @hansplourde Před 6 měsíci +1

      I already have switches to toggle rear, front or both my problem is the throttle, I don't know how I can have it powered by both controller without causing problem when both motor are driving together @@E-bikeguy

    • @E-bikeguy
      @E-bikeguy  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @hansplourde oh ok , it should work if you using one signal wire. Dang brother sorry I wasn't much of a help.

    • @hansplourde
      @hansplourde Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@E-bikeguy so sorry to bother you Tommy but maybe I don’t understand what you mean or maybe I cannot see something so obvious... cuz in any discussion about ev, ebike, escorter on the web, I see people using the signal to both controller ans 5v to only one controller yet not one ☝️ person has ever mentioned “what if I want to toggle between motors ?”
      Again sorry to insist I’m just hoping that someone else will read this and say something
      hmm 🤔
      Now I’m confused
      Are you saying that none of your build have dual motor that can be toggle between either or both ?
      As we are, the throttle is like that
      Red wire (5v) throttle >controller1
      G wire(signal)thrttl >controller 1&2
      Blk wire(gnd) thrttl >controller 1&2
      So if controller1 is not on nothing happens
      I believe that if red wire(5v) is connected to controller 1&2 it there could be unwanted results
      I just don’t see how to wire this and I know that many dual motor sold by manufacturers have it
      Anyway if anyone knows the solution please feel good to share 😉
      Thank you Tommy for Sharing your E-bike journey and insights
      Cheers Bro
