Thank you very much for the demonstration! I was checking out a lot of videos about this unit lately. You answered a few questions I still had about it, and helped to find out if it is what I'm looking for. I will order it this week. Subscribed!
Awesome I found your video searching for wah demonstrations. My MG30 should arrive tomorrow and I’d like to take my Bad Horsie 2 off my pedalboard. The built in one sounds pretty good!
Really enjoyed your honest evaluation , I also think this a fantastic modeler, sounds great and built like a tank , just curious if you’re reviews the Headrush MX 5 ? and I subscribed 👍
great. i found the answer to my question about gaps. not sure if it's the audio/video syncing, but i noticed that when switching patches, it only switches to the other patch upon release of the footswitch and upon pressing, meaning the switching is not real time? i would like to confirm. and does it happen also when switching between scenes and assigns?
Thanks a lot! Yes, you can activate another function, if you push the volume pedal in the top position. Then it will switch from controlling the volume to controlling another assigned effect (e.g. the Wah). Cheers!
The pitch shifting and Harmonist are definitely better than the GP200 and I own the GP200. In fact, MG30 unit mod effects are way better than the GP200. I choose GP200 because of its flexibility in switching, the in/out and the dirty sounds are much like the real amp. I wish I can get the best of both worlds in 1 effects unit.
I run out of patience for multi-effects systems but am looking for one very good harmonizer pedal very close to the Nux Harmonizer of the Nux mg 30. Do you have any idea where I can find this rare bird ? - Thanks for your podcasts and Thumbs up Daniel !
Hi Bruno, , thanks a lot for your comment! The intelligent harmonizer function is not that common with these low budget modelers. I know only the NUX , that even has one in the 300€ range. If that effect is important for you, maybe you should invest a little bit more, if possible. I guess this function needs more CPU in general...The Boss GT1000 has a good intelligent harmonizer. Also the Fractal AxeFx (even the Mark 1, which is quite affordable used). If you're on a budget, maybe you can check out the Boss GT1000 core or the Helix stomp. Of course, the more expensive modellers (Kemper, Quad cortex) have this feature too. Hope this helps! best regards 😁😉
@@DanielKraemerMusic Thanks à lot for your kind mail and pièces of advice - I Will check all of them on you tube. Keep up thé good work Daniel. With renewed thanks, Kind Regards Bruno 🙏
I've watched many reviews of pitch shifters and I've come to the conclusion that neither camper, quad cortex nor boss are able to do a good job with these, they sound really harsh, artificial and wobbly. it is only Helix that is really capable in this department (not a surprise considering that digitech developers joined line 6). That said, Helix stomp is not good for pitch shifting because it doesn't have enough processing power forcing you to sacrifice too much of other effects just to run the pitch shifter. For example with a pitch shifter activated you can't even run IRs. So for proper pitch shifting either go for digitech whammy and save processing power or you have to look at Helix LT as the minimum.
@@Andrey.Balandin Thank you I need to be patient in this respect and in between find another guitarist to play 3rd and 5th melodies like Wishbone Ash - A great many thanks anyway !
Hi Daniel, great demo, thanks. I have a question, really hope you can help. I am considering a device in this price range, but while I know that many of them sound great, I am a little worried about build quality and any hardware / software issues that might come up. Since service / repair / exchange is almost impossible where I live, once I buy it i am stuck with it. Plus, this will be my first and only device for years of use. Solely, from this perspective, which one would you advise I get - the Mooer GE-200, the Nux MG-400/30, or the Valeton GP-200. On the other hand, IF I can’t be fully confident that these devices will give me trouble free performance, I will instead get the Boss GX-100, which is more than these in cost but still cheaper than the really high end ones. I believe it is rock solid. Any advice? Thanks in advance. And sorry for the long comment.
Hi, to me, the built quality (hardware) of these units seems to be similar. All reallly solid. Also I didn't have any software problems so far...Only the desktop editors of some units (Mooer, Harley Benton) seem to struggle under some Windows versions, but recently they were working fine with my Win11 PC). If I'd have to chose one of them, especially for live usage, I'd go with the most flexible one. That would be the Valeton GP200 (or the Mooer GE300, but thats around 600€). The Ge200 is not that flexibel, although I used it live a couple of concerts and never had any problems with that. The nux offers more felexibility, but it's harder to dial in good tones, so the Valeton beats them in my opinion. I don't have any experience with the Boss GX100, but I assume, it's also built very well. Or of course the more expensive ones (Quad cortex, Helix, GT1000). And with all of these units, you need to get my prest packs for the best high gain tones ;-) Cheers!
thanks! I'm really happy with MG 30 but I don't understand if It's my incopetence or it's really not possible to play clean with some amps as dual rectifier or others gainish amps because there is only a distorted channel and it don't sound at all at 0 gain. that's the only thing I dislike even I can get as clean as possible rolling back my guitar volume
Well, if I set the gain to almost zero with the Vivo (5150) or the Recto amp, I can get some nice light crunch tones with the split neck HB. I'd add a little more presence and treble though. Not crystal clean, but nice light crunch. But it may depend on your PUs. If they are to hot, it may not work that well...
@@DanielKraemerMusic Thank for your reply , it's a good point. It's a good suggestion. I found out those gain amps start to sound at gain 1 and yes You are tight with guitar volume and settings I can achieve almost a clean sound but it's different from guitar to guitar because of the pickups as You said It's just a bit tricky in case I'm playing fast parts to roll volume up while I'm switching between clean and distorted scene Someone in FB group also suggested to tweak pre EQ but it does affect all tones. What I meant is I know MG 30 is cheap and DSPs are limited but it sound so good I would much prefer to have less amps etc but working fully

You make it look so simple !!!😵💫
A qualidade dos efeitos dessa pedaleira impressionam.
Tenho uma BOSS GT-1 e comparei lado a lado...e estou trocando de pedaleira.
great video!!!
The best of the best !!!🎉😂
Daniel , love to hear about yours life’s experience
Great Job !!!🎉😅
Good video my friend
Shake the earth while your at it 🎸🌻🎃🎶✨🌾🎭🎈🔥
Not everything in the box is great but for the price and the sound it's a pretty damn good little box :)

Thanks for subscribing! I'd love to review the Headrush, but currently I don't own this unit. Maybe I will get one...Cheers! 😁

What Firmware are you running. Have you upgraded to 3.1.7 yet? Thank you for the MG-30 videos. Keep them coming !!
Yes, 3.1.7.
Is there anyway to tune our guitar to C* for playing Alter Bridge songs like Metalingus using Nux mg 30??
Hi! I really like videos . Does the unit got an option to switch from wah to volume or vice versa using the volume pedal? Thanks!

Is the octashift part of the update?

Hi is there a stutter effect or something similar to a stutter on a nux mg30
n..n..n..n..nn...nnn...nnn..n.. no
NuxMG30 is awesome but the Wah is HORRIBLE, SO LAME.
Tbh, I'm not the biggest expert regarding wahs. i personally like to set the frequency range rather low (maybe 100hz -1800hz) wehn playing live.
