Right, but the point is that he’s not mentally tough enough to overcome the injury
It’s not about toughness. It’s about what motivates a person. Luck realized a lifetime of pain was not what he wanted. Peyton had multiple neck surgeries. He needed that second ring. Brady continues to play for no reason. He’s proven everything to everyone. Except himself for today. Different wiring.
Luck could not get healthy period. He did all the right things to get healthy but his body didn’t respond in a “normal” time to enable him to perform at he highest level. His injuries were cumulative and he could never get back to feeling 90+% . It had little to do with his mental health or willingness to compete other than the toll due to the physical pain endured.
@@MrKDollarSign many athletes retire due to injuries, being mentally tough has nothing to do with it.
@@bobbowie9350 There is a difference from retiring from injuries that they cant physically come back from. That was not the case with Luck. He is physically capable of playing QB right now, he just doesn't want to. Very, very different. Luck didn't deal with 1/10th the injuries Alex Smith did. Smith had a passion for football and an incredible amount of toughness and drive. Turns out Andrew didn't have any of those things.
So all growing up Trevor Lawrence was told to give humble answers when asked about personal achievements and now that he's going to the NFL you expect different??... he doesn't want to come off sounding like a conceded A-hole.

Cuz people are soft. Apparently, Zach Wilson can’t be the best QB cuz Simms said so. But it’s OK when he says Mahomes and Lamar are best QBs.
He might very well be the most annoying personality on the radio, have you heard him with Florio?

It's gotten to where I only listen to Florio on Fridays when Simms is gone and Peter King is there
lmao these people think that all because Simms was a NFL bust he cant evaluate players. Idiots. Most coaches and scouts were considered busts at one time or another. Your play on the field does not determine your skills to evaluate players.
Simms has been so good with his QB draft predictions but I think he's so wrong about Fields. Every chance he gets he doubts the kid.. he'll be wrong about this one.

@Tanner Mott Rings don't define players. A player is a person who plays a sport or a game. Eli and Edelman had great supporting casts on offense and defense to get them rings, Idiot! If you're a great QB with a bad defense, you can't win the Super Bowl easily. If you have a great defense and a bad offense, the same applies.
