I have not heard this noise since I left my parents' house. My room was in the roof, and every time it rained I was in heaven. Today at home, when it rains I put a large fishing umbrella in my garden, I put a chair below it and I stay there until the rain stops, or until my wife calls me to go take care of our child lol Thank you again for this video that reminds me of all my rainy years at my parent's house. And sorry for my english, i am not.. :)

Omg this is great. I love how the window is open a crack. If I watch this in the dark and put a fan on my face, it's like I'm there, feeling the cold sneak in. I wish I could sit by that window, drink tea and read a book until I fall asleep!

I played this for my grandmother during hospice care. She wanted to go to the ocean one last time before she passed. She was already sleeping hard from the morphine but I know she was able to hear this. I hope this brought her comfort and reminded her of her youth. Thank you for not putting ads in this, it helped tremendously.

it’s currently 6:30am and i haven’t slept at all because my brain just can’t turn off. i love the sound of rain but videos like these don’t usually work for me. they’re either too loud or too annoying and such. yet, this video is just perfect. it’s calmed me down and helped me stop being so stressed out. thank you so much.

I had one in my kitchen above the dining table. It, unfortunately, didn't open, but when it would rain, I'd find myself sitting there listening & falling asleep sitting up.
Skylights ROCK! I thought about putting one above each bed in my house. I g grew up on a farm & my room was upstairs so the rain hitting our roof was so comforting that it'd put me right to sleep. It was an OLDER house so when the wind blew it'd moan through the edges.
Ahh, I miss the farm!

Very nice! Reminds me of my grandparents' house in Ridgefield, Connecticut. We'd often visit in March when the rains rapidly melted the snow away. We children would sleep up in the attic bedroom, nestled in sleeping bags and on big pillows atop the thick pile red carpet. Grandma always cracked the roof window open "for better health." Even if it was cold and nasty outside, the attic was always plenty warm enough from the coal furnace in the basement.

it really reminds me of when i went abroad, to jersey one year ago. its such a cute little island, and i remember it rained on the wednesday, a day after i had arrived there. i miss that sound, as i don't have a window like this and instead when it rains it sounds like i'm getting attacked by water

I’m avid rain lover. I wish I lived in London, they say more than 160 days a year, it rains there. It’s like a magic-we just have to let ourselves and feel it. I always listen to these kind of videos when I’m studying. Nothing makes me concentrate better. 🌧 ☔️❤️
London and the south East receive little rain compared to other parts of Britain, if it's rain you want move to Scotland or Wales!

My husband thought I was so weird now he loves it.. and since he loves fans and fan sounds he put that on along with my rain sounds and two fans in the room.. And oh my goodness it’s wonderful we sleep like a baby the rain get me so excited I just love every moment of it I want it to rain everyday so I can go under the covers and giggle and get all excited while my husband smiles cause he low key loves it too 😂

I have a window like this in my attic but unfortunately for reasons unknown. I can only hear the rain all day long if it rains all day long. On days it doesnt rain all day long, somehow i dont hear it. Coincidence? 🤷🏼♂️ who knows but i have a feeling its to do with it raining or not rather than having a window like this but its just a theory for now

I watched a documentary a few months back about the great comedian WC Fields. It was said that in his last days on his deathbed the woman in his life used to spray water on the roof to simulate the sound of rain, which he found greatly comforting. He had had a difficult childhood. I too have painful memories and I find the sound of rain and wind very soothing , especially at night. In fact I wish I lived in a tin-roofed house!

The effects of rain droplets soothes the sole and body. If you can measure the brains activity then it would be at its optimum state in response to this type of sound
