- Queen Snapper | CRUSH |Slow Pitch Jigging on the American Patriot | Snowy Grouper | JohnnyJigs
Our ticket finally came up for a 3 day American Patriot long range trip to Pully Ridge. We had a special guest with us (Noah) from Daiwa. Slow pitch jigging was on fire. We stayed pinned to the rail a majority of the time. You have to love it when the fishing is hot. Johnny digs into jigging on a anchor and the fellas crush some Queen Snapper, snowy grouper, scamp grouper, American red snapper, and muttons. This is part one of our trip smash that subscribe button to be notified of part two.
Big Thank You to Daiwa and Noah for all the gifts…..

You guys make it look so easy. lol But that really looks like it was a fabulous trip. Thank you for sharing it with your followers. What model Daiwa electric reel was you using. And was you using the jigging mod (if it has one) or manual jigging
Thanks Kevin!! That is a Daiwa Seaborg 300. I haven't messed with the jigging mode much.

He hides from the camera...
He hooked up on the pulpit in the background towards the beginning, I was hoping to see what he landed, but it got skipped. Show more Will catches guys! 😁😂
What electric reels are you guys using? Looking to get an electric slow pitch set up for here in the NE !
That is a johnnyjigs.com/products/daiwa-seaborg-300mj-electric-reel
They should be back in stock this week.
@@JohnnyJigsTV Awesome thanks ! Would this handle large goldens up to 50lbs? Or for say I hook into a 35lb yellowfin? Also what is the manual crank on this how many inches per crank?
28" per crank. Definitely will handle a big Golden Tilefish
What was that battery pack on a shoulder strap for the electric reel? That looks so much better than dragging around a 12 volt deep cycle.
I attached a link johnnyjigs.com/products/super-lithium-battery-dn1700-ns-with-shoulder-case-strap-charger?_pos=1&_sid=36ed3c57b&_ss=r
Johnny tell me about the hooks you were using when you caught that snowy. They look longer than usual
Nothing new. I tied them myself on the way out. 5/0 jj hooks spliced with hollow core line.
OMG!!! that hook in his finger hurts. Had one go through my thumb once. Not nice at all.
I cringed editing this...lol
lmao... CLICK, AIRPLANE MODE, #BYEFELICIA
Ha!!! You made it to the end...Thanks Mike..
So, you guys don't or won't jig with spinning reels?
We micro jig with spinning reels, but SPJ is much better with conventional.
What is the rod in the thumbnail?
That is our SJ Railer.
Johnny, which rod are you using?
That is the JohnnyJigs SJ Railer
