To add please don't go when ur young and ur not as close to as strong and polished as u can be. Ur freshman year on down you are not going to be close to ur senior year, so got to 1 to get ur experience then practice the events. I ran a 6.9 as a freshman, then, 6.6 as a senior. Not many are going to run that, but u are going to be way better than later.
Is there any shot at at 8th grader playing on varsity batting around .320-330 to be invited to this kind of stuff. I throw 71 72 consistently and if I heave as hard as I can Itl go 76-77. I’m going into 9th grade this year. I have a good chance of being a starter this year.
Thanks for the tips. What can you suggest for a showcase game that is going to be live streamed? How can a pitcher stand out? Especially a PO that will likely only get one inning on the mound? (No coaches in the stands to watch only livestreamed) Should players let coaches know about the livestream for the event if the player is interested in that school?
The best thing for pitchers to do to stand out is to work fast and throw strikes! Coaches are looking for pitchers with good tempo that can control the speed of the game. It’s very smart to email coaches about when you’re pitching and when you’ll be on the livestream. There are a lot of college coaches at this event. Probably 10-15!
Not sure what the get loose shit is all about. You can throw as far/hard as you can throw... getting "loose" just gets your arm tired and then you won't be able to throw it as far/hard
Great advice Coach! Definitely putting them to use with our upcoming showbacll showcase this weekend. Thanks!

If your athlete sparks interest. Remember the player that has ability will be watched from the time I step off the bus. In the dugout and on the field
Thanks you I have all American next week and I was super nervous because I didn’t know how to stick out but now I do
