but then no one really replied...the q arose only because until that satement amir came across as an indian, be it due to his films, tv programs, his sensitivity...so what hapenened that such an aware person.. (if you have seen the interview, he actually makes sure he said it) stuff that he would never have/has never said before under many many more extreme conditions that prevailed through most of his adult life, and that too when nothing pressing happened to him or his wife...the context and sensitivity is side stepped....yeah, as individuals javedji, hiraniji and we all agree to the logic but...the amir q remains unanswered. But javedji made the point well...just ignore amir's comment and be the bigger person...sometimes it is a little asking too much of all common people to always having to be bigger than all the petty/callous/narrow -minded people...and some of who happen to be BIG people of national/international repute..celebrities, stars and what not...when such people choose to be small, it will be a little difficult for those that respond to be big!

Since javedji explained amir's perspective, saying that neither points of view are not entirely right (that it is incorrect to say we have become intolerant and also incorrect to say that we have always been tolerant); then why did amir chose to air his views like this when no real trend/incident of the scale and proportion that have hitherto occurred (several previous decades)did not make him insecure..what now? and why now? I think he upset millions directly (indirectly-if indeed he said it in innocence (???)); Amir does owe a response/clarification re why he said what he did and also, why he shot from his wife's shoulders at that!?

when i was reading the comments section, i was wondering why so many people are so negative. later on when i looked at the number of dislikes for the video, i was glad that its only a bunch of people who have such negative thinking and they are the ones possibly going around posting everywhere. feels good that there is still so much of positivity..

Javed Sahab kya soch, I am proud of you that you are my fellow brother. And I congratulate you for your uprightness and boldness, you don't believe in religion but in you I see a true Muslim and a patriotic Muslim. There are few such Muslims in our country. Thanks for correcting the masses with proper perspective. Regarding taking liberty of religion I firmly believe that everybody should abstain from this. Just be coz we Hindus are tolerant that does not mean every now and then we should use it. We take the liberty coz it dies not backfire. Every religion sd be respected and mockery of any form should be avoided. I am perturbed by the fact that we Hindus always feel ok with it, but in fact it indirectly means we don't resect it. Religion and beliefs should be observed within 4 walls. Ultimately we you observe one thing minutely practically every religion tells d same thing. Be proud of all the religions.

Salute Javed Saheb ! Well said and said with conviction. Power of openness and freedom comes when you tell yourself " There is no God and lets not fight over such a thing" . If all communities start to say this, at least religion based tussles will reduce. We , the common man, give air to dirty business of religion when we go to mosques, temples and gurudwara.
