Zach Woods was my very first improv teacher. He’s one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met and, I can confirm, a terrific hugger.
How luck!! he is one hell of an actor... Not easy to come in and leave your mark in a well established cast!

The best part about Gabe is that most of his lines are improv. There’s a blooper from season 8 when Dwight and Gabe are arguing about who is stronger, where Gabe brags about taking an online karate class, and John Krasinski breaks character and spits his coffee out laughing. It’s hilarious.
