Very well done. It was beautiful. Both are excellent singers. It is hard to sing a song specifically written for and by the original singers. Freddy was not only a composer, singer but he was an excellent performer. When he sang he didn’t just sing the notes they came from his very soul. That is the part that is going to be almost impossible for anyone to duplicate.

The guy is phenomenal... you cannot really compare to freddie's execution - Freddie was a freaking monster in this song and he himself would have never been able to sing this live by the way. It is the woman who is no monserrat caballé. And I thought this song was never going to be performed by anyone else in a decent manner.
Why would he have not been able to sing it live?
Well, I might be wrong but you should know the general understanding is that Freddie was always singing outside his natural vocal range, especially for higher notes. That's why during a live performance he tried and preserved his voice. I believe the whole Barcelona affair would have really been too much, even if he had not been sick.

Thing is, he did sing it live, at Le Nit in 1988 if I'm not mistaken, look it up, it's amazing.
Just found out he sang it live at least one other time, at Ku Club in Ibiza, in 1987

Phenomenal singers, both of them. The drama of the song is carried over through them. I think the producer though, let the orchestra take too much of the sound space and nearly drowns the singers. This is a song, not an orchestra piece.

I love the duet, great rendition of Freddy but Louise Fribo`s is unintelligible. The Freddy`s part is amazing but hers...Monserrat`s never oversung, but beautiful voice anyway.
