Toran : it is type of decorative for door especially with mango leaves & it's a sign of welcoming. In Hindu culture also to attract the attention of goddess of laxmi (goddess of wealth) , as deva sir mentioned about durga matha, laxmi matha and saraswati matha

@Manas, you're the best mentor there has been... I've ran from pillar to post to find one
But you're truly the one that was needed. A simple nudge and a subtle way of conveying that you understand our needs and challenges, infact you direct the expert to it and then succinctly comprehend it too! Amazing work

Sir I have a doubt that devdutt sir said that Harappa is in chalcolithic not bronze Age. But RS sharma says, in India unlike the world context chalcolithic period follows bronze Age. That is Harappa was bronze Age but post Harappan was chalcolithic. Harappans got tin from mesopotamia as for food grains in return. But the emergence of Elam in between Mesopotamia and Harappa, trade between them made difficult, and post harappan sites like banavali stands for copper age or chalcolithic.. Please clarify my doubts

Sir according to me, why south India ancient history is not found, because there was big forest Kalvan, recently geoglyphs and petroglyphs have been found in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, which is 12,000 years old so it means humans do lived there but in forest.
