Another incredible piece of Original content lore and art by Karak Norn Clansman. Ascension by Scott Buckley - www.scottbuckley.com.au Please share and help build the community!
Well read! However the Grandfather does not approve of human bombs! One should struggle to live, at any cost, until your ancient rotting form finally gives out and new life thrives on your final failure. The Grandfather will aid you in this struggle of life and death for the mere price of your love!
I am the promise. I am the light in the darkness. Against all that seek to from my kind, I make the choice. The only choice that matters. The only difference between a hero and a coward is the lengths they will go to not only to make a difference. But to matter. Life matters. Light matters. I matter. And when I choose to walk into the dark, you will see what kind of man I am. Wait for the flash. See me shine. For the Emperor….
I was going to say it's like recent times, but actually it's more about familiar currency -- in ~008M2, $300 in Afghanistan, $3,000 in Iraq, and $30,000 (est. total) in Palestine.
I would actually class it as bleak, sombre etc. It's a piece about 'glorious' sacrifice and I feel the music fit that theme. Cheers for the comment wren
@@AVoxintheVoid I think the song choice was absolute perfection for this narrative piece. If I must tell the truth fellow brethren, it is this exact work that solidified my decision on Vox being one of the best 40k narrators out there!
I love the quality of this video. But the lore is very grimderp even for 40k. There’s simply no point for human bombs when a basilisk can literally fire over kilometres, can have a multitude of different munitions, doesn’t require to be on the front line where it can potentially be detonated in friendly lines and causing a chain reaction with the other human bombs. Keep going though. Just friendly criticism!
Appreciate the comment. I think the purpose of Karaks original lore was to hark back to early rogue trader era. Where things didn't have to make a huge amount of sense and tactics military wise. Thanks for listening though!
40ks military is far from "realistic" or even logical, after all, it's a universe that saw the degradation of technology and the complete abandonment of reasonable thinking, "forget the promise of progress, for in the grim dark future..there is only war". It may seem illogical to have soldiers equipped with suicide vests but during our own wars in history various countries utilized similar methods, such as the Japanese utilization of kamikaze pilots, were they effective when they very well easily could have used them in aerial combat or was it because of a lack of resources? I think the story like many of Karaks, is reflective of humanity's past conflicts and the depths it has gone to, its a story that critiques and highlights the flaws of humanity rather than romanticizing them.
In a world measured by its cost in human souls, the difference becomes which are spent freely and which are owed.
Bell is on, I don't want to miss a single one of these!
Thanks clay! Plenty more to come my friend!

Somewhat inspirational - so utterly messed up - but inspirational.
That's the great thing about Karak Norn clansman' writing, it's beautiful but damn depressing!
Wonderfully told.
We are building human bombs
Dude you just explained everything that's going on with these Mass shooters how the hell
For mankind!
For the Imperium!
For the Emperor!!!
Callous e disregard for human kind
Great narration, but I have to say that the background music is far too cheery and hopeful for the topic : P
