Although usually the case with Full Frame vs APS-C, the amount of pixels packed into the sensor really dictates the qualities of the said sensor. For example, a 16MP on a APS-C sized sensor DX (D7000/D5100) has better low light capability at a pixel size of 4.78µm vs the smaller pixel size 3.91µm of the 24MP (D5300-D5600). The same can be said for the Z50/30 vs the Z6. However in this case the Z6 wins because it has larger pixels at almost 5.9 um vs the Z50 at 4.2 µm, but technically you achieve better detail in well lit conditions with the Z50. There are cases when the APS-C or DX body will be better perform at low light than a high megapixel FX or Full Frame body. It all boils down to either wanting more detail or good low light capabilities.
