  • A special teaser for our forthcoming Ferris & Sylvester set where they performed live for students in The Music Shelf in Swanley.
Post-16 music education pioneers SupaJam launch ‘The Music Shelf’, a brand new live sessions platform ran by neurodivergent young people.
SupaJam is a unique group of post-16 specialist music colleges based in Swanley, Canterbury and Brighton. We offer individually tailored placements to students who may have previously struggled in formal education settings due to social, emotional or special educational needs, and are now looking for an inclusive alternative educational provision with a focus on the music industry.
The Music Shelf gives our students a professional work experience provision and a platform for both established and up and coming artists to showcase their music. We encourage artists to experiment with their sound and setup, performing stripped, acoustic or alternative versions of their music, sharing the stories behind their songs and working closely with our students who take on roles such as Photography, Videography, Video Editing, Sound Engineering and Artist Liaison.
The Music Shelf - Season 1 features the likes of Americana/Blues duo Ferris & Sylvester, Alternative/India artist Baby Dave and English Jungle duo the Ragga Twins who performed unique sets in our intimate performance space.
