    Great video. Will i use the same command at 10.30 fg you used to kill? Can you please explain bit more about fg command in context of this video.D I need to type fg 1 to cancel?

      Its a background running program inorder to bring to forground you have to run fg JOBNO and kill other wise you can also use ps command to find out its PID and kill it.

      You have to compare your server CPU cores, then use mpstat -P ALL 1; observer for few seconds. in another putty session run top command and observe you will understand.

    I have one question i have 24 processors with 6 cores each and a load avg of 24, 23, 20... Can you explain this please? If everything' s ok or having issue ? What role does processor have here in load avg?

      Check cat /proc/cpuinfo for more details.
      if your load average = TotalCores. if Load average more than the cores it should be concerning.

      its quite tricky and its based on the situation. because we can't kill the processes which are CRITICAL for business.

    so single process can use only single core... Single thread vs multhreaded application..
    why that process not used other cores...
    cpu time vs cpu seconds...

      single process can access multiple cores its based on the application intelligence.

      @@TechArkit single threaded applications like php,nginx , redis,. They only use one core for processes.. (I don't how it works)..
      But MySQL is a multhreaded ..

    I have seen many time CPU is 50 - 60 %idle and still load high, could you please explain these scenario. There was no High memory, no High disk utilizaion, no process in D state.
    Also would like to inform, load average in not CPU load average, its SYSTEM load average.

      Check your CPU Cores and Load Average and compare with CPU performance; mpstart -P ALL 1 command output.

      @@TechArkit I have one core, pressing 1 on top command tells that, I have seen everything, iostat, mpstat, sar everything all seem to be normal and again one core and 60% idle. Leave it I do not think you would be able to answer. Also FYI Load average is not CPU load average, it's SYSTEM Load average. Performance tunning / troubleshooting is not easy task.
