I love the way you walk through the piece with direct info on placement of the bow. Really helps with the control of volume. Setting left hand fingers prior to bow movement is essential and easily overlooked. Any tips on prepping for those double stops? Thanks!

Yes! In every double stop there is a finger that feels more comfortable to "easy" to find. Start by only setting that finger and get very confident doing so. After this, you can find the "easy" finger then add on the more difficult one. The "easy" finger then becomes the guide finger for the double stop. I hope that helps, let me know if it's confusing!

    A tempo play through
    Meas 44
    First note - D
I think that is not played as a D...?
I think you are playing Bb...?
The slow play and instructions are played as D
Also I'm curious which Suzuki edition of volume five you are using. The articulations, bowings, etc are not the same as mine. I have revised edition 2010
    Ty!
Idk what I would have done without this video.
I quickly got in top of this piece!
    Now to polish it!
    I appreciate this so much
So much work you put into it!

Might be a different edition, I have the older books from 1986. My measure 44 actually starts with C-B natural-C. Go with what your edition says, or change to the bowings in mine! It's really an editor who made those changes, so either are valid!

      @@stringswithdrsulbaran OOOOPPSSSSS!!!!!!! I meant meas 45 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You played Bb only in the "a tempo" recording, and I noticed it because I have played and listened to it soooo many times!
Otherwise, I just would have thought of it as a nice surprise note! It's still a good note there!
