I am from J&K. I have seen army convoys many times. I thought all those vehicles were bulletproof, but now I am surprised to learn they are not. I even used to sit in these vehicles during my childhood. I am Kashmiri Hindu, and we celebrate all festivals with army personnel living nearby our home. One of the army personnel even gave me gajar ka halwa as a gift, and he even gave me rides. I used to enjoy these rides during my childhood. My grandfather also served in the army, and I know the pain of losing a family member. All I can say is for the government to increase the budget as soon as possible. Om Shanti. During Attack in 2019 as well, I had raised same question to secure our military personnel's life.
Govt was working towards it by bringing in agniveers, so that max budget can be allocated to actual defence rather to high pensions thought pension to army is necessary but 80% defence budget to pensions and salary is not how we gonna get defence upgrade for our army.

See I agree that the life of a soldier is far more valuable than the life of a politician but think of one thing, is it even possible to provide all our soldiers with bullet/blast proof vehicles, we aren't a very rich county we can't afford bullet/blast proof vehicles for all of our army personnel.

Poonch-Rajouri is becoming troublesome for forces. 3 years without success, except Qari encounter. 3 years is a long time. Need serious introspection & counter measures. Too many loses at regular intervals.
Thanamandi, Kalakote, Tota Gali, Dera ki Gali, Surankote, Bhata Durian. All these areas are troublesome. Sad part is, some ambushes have happened just few KMs away from each other.

I work as an engineer in a Pvt Indian Company which manufactures defence vehicles. Indian companies have huge potential in the design & development of defence vehicles, also are economically more affordable than foreign vehicles.
Atmanirbhar Bharat has brought few orders and a little boost in the defence vehicles sector for these indigenous companies, Indian companies possess huge capabilities to supply sufficient machines to the Indian defence forces.
We should pressurise Gov. Specially in Defence sector and advanced technologies which will help Indian army

This would be quick and cost effective. Armoured vehicles may take time to manufacture and procure en masse.

This convoy was carrying personnel with technical expertise and not deployed soilders and the convoy which followed the truck was a armoured protection vehicle
Stallion was used to transport goods etc for the airforce. Which is obviously not possible in armoured vehicles like tata Kestrel etc .
Please make a video regarding this.
Army vehicles should not only be bulletproof but also strong enough to handle mine and rdx blast.

It's such a shame, after pulmava, uri, punch , nothing changed we still use old unprotected vehicles for defence, sadly 4 days ago Mr. Jayshankar had a meet with top officers of Airforce but no one focused on used bullet+ bomb proof vehicle for our troops. It's like for government troops lives doesn't matter what matters is politicians lives only. While politicians spend 2-4 crore daily we can't afford to buy such protective vehicles for defence in whole Kashmir atleast? Are we still living in 18 th century? What's the benifit of my tax money if my nation can't Provide basic protection to those on the front lines. Sad and shameful even surgical strike is not going to bring back what have been lost. Such a shame on every politicians they have money for campaign and publicity but no money for transport protective vehicles for defence personnel.😢

I studied in Army school and i have seen many mid level army officers who are staying in mainland India enjoying life like anyone. They get 2-3 army personel as house help, subsidised goods in Canteen, free school etc etc
